I cant belive how much better these 56's are than the 55"s. I feel like I have a brand new heli. They are so much faster and seem to return to zero alot better. I can't wait to try one on the tail !

I use hs-56 all around they work great. Install an SBEC 6V if you want to see them really shine.

Hi Folks

This fellow in Germany makes BEC`s for our helis with several different power options ( 5 or 6 V and from 2 to 7 Amps). He also has some electric noise filters to minimise the glitches.

Check it out

Wow, that's kind of pricey. $64 US for a BEC?

I've been telling everybody the HS56's are great since they first came out... They are awesome on the tail...way better than the hs50. I use them all around too. They are very fast and have awesome centering. The HS50 comes out of the box with slop.

Someone posted a link to a company that sold a $20 BEC a few days ago in a thread somewhere (I lost it). Anyone know where that was? Thanks.

I dont know of a 20$ one, but I have 2 of the SBEC's from FXAEROMODELS and they kick butt!! Very small and light. They also look like they are built very well and I dont think I will have any probs with it. They are a little more money (42$) but that is a small price to pay to keep your heli in the air for a very long time. (crash's dont count)

motorbikemike,

I am also using that SBEC at 6V and I have been sayin' these servos on 6v is wicked man! You can't beat .10 tranit speed and 20 oz. torque.

Do you find the tail fast enough with HS56 on the tail?

I have one on my tail and it is as fast if not faster than HS-50. That is comparing HS-50 on 5v to HS-56 on 6v.

On 6V is at least as fast as the hs-50 but is way more precise in holding position. I switched from hs-50 to hs-56 about a month ago and never looked back.

I can't even compare it to the hs50. My tail is rock solid. I haven't even seen a wag since I went with the HS56.

Woketman,

Medusa Products has a 5 volt, 2 amp BEC for $24.95. 6 grams w/o the wires, 12 grams with the wires. I just ordered it for myself and I'll post any problems-if any.

I haven't checked the specs yet on the HS56's but I read on another thread that they do not like running at 6 volts-they get really hot. That could be due to other problems, just check it out if you wind up getting a 6 volt BEC.

Whoopsy !

I see this fellow at Flyheli.de has 2 e-shops, one local Germany and one in English where the price of the BEC is high. The local one is €28 which is the one I ordered.
I guess the 64 $ is kinda high for a BEC.

It's nice to see others are starting to use the HS56 servos... I've been using mine since day one and nothing compares to them. I thought you guys would never come around...
