I have an EVO 50 with the stock paddles. I have only the lead weights in them now. I was wondering if I removed the lead weights would it make a big difference? Without the weight is it more responsive or is it a hand full to control? Should I go with an after market paddle?

Plenty of folks don't use any weights in the paddles. It's all a personal feel kind of thing. Just take the lead out carefully and if you don't like it, just put them back in carefully. No harm no foul............

If you haven't removed the weight jet, than I just want to warn you, not to remove them all at once, at firs remove the brass one and then have a try....
As for me than I use K&S one.

Garry.

I did iniitially remove the brass weight, leaving the lead in. I found the cyclic response very aggressive - lots of main blade noise through sharp turns. Now I have both weights in. I prefer the response with the NHP mains I am using.
I guess it would be dependent on how fast you want the heli to respond and what main blades you are using.
