My 90SE is on the way. I sent in for the set screw update for the tail to Ace. I think I'm going with the OS91 - I can't even get a YS if I wanted to - 601, TJPro, and not sure on the servos but probably 9252s. Any pointers or recommendations please. If not VBlades, then what others do you recommend - sizes too please.

Thanks in advance!
Dan

Here's is a good summary thread for the 90SE. There are others but this one is good without being too many pages. Hope this helps.

You will love it!

Just logged her 11th flight today and so far so good! Just replace those tail screws and you are good to go. I am using 700 mm Rotorsport Pro blades (only because I got a great deal on them) along with the MA white paddles. She seems alittle heavy, but very smooth.

I am also using a 601 with 103 mm SAB tail blades and in full backwards flight, the tail does not budge at all. This is my first 90 and i am very impressed so far.

I found a YS 91 in stock after calling around a bit, there are a few out there. Most shops were planning to get restocked around now as I recall. If you go with the YS, the new mount style hatori SB-16 Todd Bennett works really well.

I had no luck finding V-blades in the 710mm with a 12mm root so, I put on a set of TT 710mm. They seem to good enough for now, maybe I'll change them out later. I put on 95mm V-paddles and tail blades.

I'm real happy with the Futaba 9252 on the cyclics, 9350 on the pitch, 9253 on the throttle, and a GY601/9251 for the tail. I tossed in a Futaba GV-1 since I have them on all my helis.

I'm working on my second gallon of fuel through it now, I like it real well! I really like the way it autos!

Fly it like you stole it!

can't beat the consistency of a ys, atleast so far. I'm always open to knew products , but so far I haven't any worth changing to. The weston uk motor looked promising but it's made for loow nitro fuels, and I don't want to carry kinds of fuel.
Back to the subject, blades, I'm running 710 sab blades on mine. as with all my helis they are the best all around blade to me.
9252's on cyclic 94758 on collective sl560/w 9245 tail. ys91 with 8.27 gear ratio.
awesome helicopter so far.

I would recommend if using a os 91 ps, Keep everything stock!

Do NOT stretch the pump spring as the pump is diffrent from the old ones that needed this.

Open the IDLE needle all the way!!! Keep it there! this will keep the mid range from leaning out.

Start with the engine being rich.. and break it in slow.. A couple gallons at least.... Then you should end up with a power making engine.
