I am about to get a Vario Alouette. I understand that the lattice structure is made from stainless steel.

What is the best method of 'Painting' it?

I am considering Powder Coating or is there another way which will be as durable?

Thanks

Mark

I have seen one that was powder coated the paint job looked sweet.
If you have that option I would go that way makes for a more durable finish.

Powdercoat it. It's your best option, period.

There are 2 options:
1) Paint it with an epoxy paint
or
2) Powdercoat it

I painted my Bell 47 lattice with K&B Ultrapoxy and an airbrush. It is a real pain in the behind to get a the crevices and crannies covered, but I can touch up any nicks or scratches.

However, If I were to do another one, I would powdercoat it. It is so much easier to drop it off at the powdercoater and let him do it!

Thanks for the input. I will get out the yellow pages and find a good powdercoat guy!

Many thanks
