If you're thinking about buying the MJP Carbon gyro/servo mount, don't waste your money! It's way too flimsy. I believe a upgrade part should work properly to start with. In order for this mount to be stiff enough to work properly you would have to modifly it by attaching something from the area around the servo plate to the frame, otherwise the servo will flex back and forth. Just a poor design I think. I sanded out the original location so it wouldn't rub on the main gear and remounted the servo, hooked up a new cf control rod to the tail and everything's cool !

You have a point about having to add a stiffener, but some of us will still need the servo and gyro back there for a proper CG.

I still think it is a nice product even if it need alittle help. All in all it's better designed than this thing we call a Shogun/Zoom. I had to add a hole bunch of "Upgrades" and improvements to mine to get it to live up to what the box it came in claims it will do.

Dont get me wrong, After all of the "Upgrades" and improvements, well, I love the hell out of this little bird.

If I had it to do over I would have ordered the following mount kit:
http://rchover.com/inc/pdetail?v=1&pid=1690. It's more expensive but it's made out of alum. and much stiffer and includes the pushrod.
And you're right Blake, I've spent way more to "upgrade" this heli just to fly, than the da@# thing cost to start with, not counting the r/c gear and motor!

Is there such a thing as a low maintance 3D electric heli????

OK, you can stop laughing now. . . I was just kidding!!!

I wondered about the low maintance thing myself, but after i got it right, it has been doing VERY well, flight after flight. I have been getting about 4 flights a day for about 2 weeks and have had to do nothing!!
