Has anyone ordered from them recently. I just looked on their website and noticed that their prices are lower than any other US shop. We are talking $71.99 for the 30-50 conversion kit. I did a search, not many people have used them. I saw that it was Gr8lakesrc (spelling). i had luck with them in the past. I just wanted to know what others think of them.

I've ordered from them several times, all great. They WILL tell you if parts are not in stock, and will ship same day USPS priority (2-3 day) for no extra charge.

I just can't believe they are that much cheaper. The numbers the same for the conversion kit 3807. Do you think something is missing. Cause man for $94.99 I would almost upgrade to a v2. Has anyone used the Hobby Taiwan muffler that they sell?

Rchelis.com is a great shop, Steve has been very helpful to me. I would recommend them.

Please note that there are 2 30-50 conversion kits available. The one for 71.00 is the V1 version, you will need to buy a 10 Tooth V2 pinion gear to use this kit on a V2. The V2 conversion kit comes with the auto-hub and longer tailboom supports. Those are the only differences.

So if I have the V1, i just need to order the 3807 right, or do I need the longer supports?

I saw your post, I just wanted to make sure. You know how they say to good to be true. What muffler did you go with. For a Leo 46 I will need the OS engine mount. I am thinking that I will get the conversion kit, engine mount, and the hobby taiwan muffler. Good combo or not? I thought about springing towards a MP2. I want a weston, but nobody has them.

On numerous occassions I have bought Raptor parts labeled Hobby Taiwan from Steve at the now defunct Gr8LakesRC and found them to be just re-packaged and much less expensive real original Raptor parts. Quite a bargain over the TT priced parts. I would guess that just about anything in a Hobby Taiwan package would be true TT parts at much less than regular TT prices. Steve's prices were always a bit lower than everyone elses but sometimes he would be out of something but would ship it later at no extra fee. Rarely had any problems with dealing with him and was sorry Gr8LakesRC went out of business.
I have not dealt with RCHelis.com yet.

When I do upgrade I think I will go to him. I have some parts I order a while back that have the hobby taiwan now that I think about it. It will be much cheaper to go through him. Glad he got a shop open again.

I have bought from them a few times, and all went VERY well. I ordered the V2 conversion kit from them, and it was indeed intact, sealed, and all there. The prices there are great, and had absolutly not one issue. I would and likely will deal with them again. Great shop.

I have also had good luck. Very responsive, very quick shipping and the hobby taiwan stuff is great and cheap. Also take a look at there crash kit prices.

They seem to be great. I wrote them an email because I have a question on the conversion kits they sell. I can't get a solid answer as to if the TTR3807 comes with the TT50 mount or the OS 50 mount. I have heard it will do both. Anybody know?

blockatvalpo,
The problem with your question is that there is two different TT50 engines. And the difference is the mounting point. One is the same as the OS50, and the other is not. So that might be a loaded question. I have found that for the most part the mount that comes in most kits will fit the OS 50. Were as the special mount is not to usuall in most kits. But that has been my exsperience. It might not actually be that way for everyone. Wouldn't it have been nice it TT would have just kept it simple, and made all of the engines configured to the same specs that OS did to make it easier on all of us? Or visa versa?

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

I wrote Steve @rchelis.com and he said that what comes with the kit will fit both the TT50 and the OS50.
