Hi Guys,

I wasn't very happy with the CC45 ESC with the overcurrent cut outs and I didn't like the idea of turning the protection off all together, so I opted for the CC60 which was better (no cut outs) but the soft start left a bit to be desired. After I was finally reasonably happy with the setup every so often I would get the heli going into failsafe.

So I have just put a Kontronik Jazz on it and so far I'm very happy. The soft start is absolutely perfect and everything sound sweet. I hovered it in the backyard today and tached it at 2420 rpm.

Hopefully it will be good weather tomorrow and I can test fly it properly. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Sparkie:
I love the way the brit's and you brit sound-alike's
say the word, 'properly'....test fly the old gal.

Our bud, with bucks, got a sweet16 up sunday.
Real nice, very powerful, extremely quiet!
Just the hover tests and one circuit up there, but
not too far as the canopy was at the paint booth.

Got almost 20 min on the 8s3p pack! Too Cool.

It was a delight to see a 'proper' e-heli fly right!

Peace,

I love gravity, it always keeps my feet planted when I fly!

Hey Helie,

We should sound the same because we are living on the little island called Oz that the Britz used to use as their prison. Most of us are direct descendants of the criminals the Britz didn't think it safe to live with in England. My stepmother is a Brit so I have been taught to speak 'properly'. I've been to the US a few times and I've always found it funny that you guys can't understand a word we say, yet I can understand everything that I hear. Must be all the movies I"ve seen.

Are you talking about the Robbe L16? I was trying to talk myself out of getting one but I know I'll have one as soon as they come out. If you are talking about the L16 your Buddy must have been one of the first ones to get one. Can't wait to hear how it flies when it is 'properly' finished.

Hi Lee,

Yes its the Jazz 40-6-18, and it seems to work pretty good so far but I'll give it a few test flights and let you know how it goes. The hover is probably one of the better test anyway considering there isn't much airflow over the motor and its probably drawing a reasonable amout of current to keep it up.
