Hi Guys,

I fixed my self-made camera mount to my heli (Ergo 50). Unfortunately I have no pictures yet. Basically it looks similar to most self made mounts. It is assembled to the landing skid.
When the heli takes off from the ground, the entire mount starts to shake an vibrate so much, that I have to land immediately. In my point of view, the landing skid of the Ergo is too soft, so that at a certain rev the system hits its resonance frequency. At the moment I am not sure if I should stiffen the landing skid or maybe it is better to fix the camera mount directly to the chassis. Has anybody experienced similar things and a good idea ??
Thanks for you help

Michael

A good starting point is to balance everything on the helicopter that moves. I have found that a properly tuned platform is equally as important, if not more important than the mount.

Just my two cents.
