Well maintained. Weapons never deployed in anger. Flown only by fighter-training washouts. Reasons for sale: Trading up/government overthrown/need cash for third-world insurgents.

I think someone's going to catch a cold - the latest bidders seem to be treating it as a joke, which it isn't. Yesterday the bidding was around £6K.

Take a look at http://www.thunder-and-lightnings.c...ics1.html#XL391 - interesting site! They were great planes.

Frogbaiter, what a great site!

They won't make ships like that any more. The Vulcan and B-58 Hustler were truly awesome. Big, noisy, no-nonsense aircraft.

WMAC - most military flying hardware looks small when close up. Even more impressive to imagine being strapped in to it!

Those things were raw adrenaline!

Fullagas - it's a hell of a site, isn't it? I've been up in a Nimrod, but I'd have loved to be close to a Buccaneer or it's brothers!

I have been lucky enough to have been underneath one of these babies when it flew overhead at a low-level. Man !!! Awsome feeling of power.....

You feel her fist... the ground trembles... then you hear her creeping up on you.... then WOWOWOW !!! The noise, vibration and well .. just everything is sheer unadulterated power !

One joke that was beibg bantered aroubd back in 1982.....

What has Port Stanley Airport and Spock's mother both got in common ?
