My tail pitch yoke broke in a rev-up malfunction so now I need a new one.

Do any of you know where I can get one without the bearing inside(I'm a little short on cash and cant get one with bearing inside for $14!)??

Thanks

It only comes with the bearing as I have seen it.

What parts of the assembly do you need. I have various parts left from some explosions myself. If I have what you need, I might send it to you. I know what it is like to be short on cash. If I were not "SHORT" on cash I would have SEVERAL more helis than a Shogun & Raptor 90!

I would need the entire thing except the bearing mount location. One of the arms that connect to the ball link broke off.

Thanks

The shogun is my only heli(i'm just 13).

I'm lucky to get that - our house recently developed mold inside because we put in an alarm system(Rexford Alarm) and the guy drilled holes in our windows in the wrong place. They had to throw everything we owned away because it could have spores on it and recontaminate our house. Of course they had to pay for everything so I got about $1000 for everything I owned and decided to spend it on my hobby.

Now im almost out of money, and this part decided to break so I'm grounded.

Thanks

I don't think I have an entire unit, but i know I have at least 2 of the yoke ball links. Or better said, I have everything but the flat plastic bar that goes from one side to the other that the two ball links mount to. But it sounds like this may be what you need.

I just got the baby in the bed and I need to head there myself. When I get in tommorow from work, I'll dig in and see what I have.

Sorry about the mold problem, I have heard of that happing to alot of people. I keep a very close eye out for that stuff in my house. It sucks that some alarm "Expert" would cause such a problem installing something that your parents were having put in to protect you and the rest of the family.

Tell you what Zack, if I do not have the parts you need to have a complete yoke assemble then I'll rob my second Shogun kit (still in box for emergency parts). I'll send you the entire assembly via the mail with a return envelope and you can pay me for it when you come into some money.

It's up to you and the honor system!!

If you can take out the ball bearing, it wont cost as much and I wont take as long to get the money back to you. If you could do that, I would appreciate it.

Well, Off to school...

Thanks,
Zack

Got an even better idea, I'm going to send you the entire assembly as a gift for a fellow pilot. Maybe some day, you will be able to help a new pilot yourself. Just don't give up on it. This can be a flustrating hobby, just keep at it. If you don't have a simulator, ask for one for X-mas, it will help you more than anything.

Send me a PM with your mailing address and I'll get it in the mail tommorow. Make sure you PM me and don't post your address on this open post.

The belt drive will save you so much trouble.

I got your PM and address, your yoke assembly will go out in the mail tommorow! Enjoy and fly HARD!

The reason I asked about the belt drive, was if you did not have it, I wanted to help you get it. I had emailed HuDave at Heliworkz and give him a link to this thread and asked him if he would sell me a kit at a discounted price so that I could give it to you.

HubDave, being as awsome as he is, was going to donate a kit for you. How awsome is that!!! I'll let him know you already have done it yourself.

MANY, MANY, MANY thanks to HubDave for being willing to donate a kit to a stranger! Again, it shows what a "family" the people in this hobby can be.

Here is text copies of the emails HubDave and I exchaged. I just wanted people to see what kind of person HubDave is.

To Hubdave:

Please read this RunRyder thread.

http://runryder.com/p1046077/#p1046077

I kinda feel for this kid and I'm going to help him alittle. I'm not one to do this sort of thing, but he seems for real.

I feel a belt drive would help him out a bunch and save him a fortune in the long run, but I'm sure he wouldn't be able to afford it right now. Would you be intrested in helping by selling me a kit at a lowered price? If the price was right and I could get it worked into my budget, I'd PayPal you and have you send him the kit.

Please don't feel like you have to, if you can't, then you can't. I really don't even like asking, but I figured what the hell.

Please don't think wrong of me for asking, It just seemed like the thing to do.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reply from HubDave:

I would be more than happy to donate a complete kit..
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back to HubDave:

That would be AWSOME. You are the man!!! My only question is do you want the
world to know or do you want to keep it quite?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reply from HubDave:

go for it.. its fine to tell, maybe more people in the world will get the hint. I will send the kit to you in the next couple days.. ive been sick and just getting back to it and have a back log to get caught up- but it wont take me long
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My last reply to him:

Stand down on the kit for Zack. He had already done the do it yourself mod.
I did not ask him before I found out how much you were going to charge. I do
want to thank you for your offer to donate. I had you pegged for a pretty
nice guy, but damn I never expected to see the word "Donate"! Your Awsome!!

Thanks for the help. His conversion looks alot better than this. He must have spent a long time developing it.

Thanks to Blake and Hubdave for all of the help he gave me.

I just nearly cut my hand off!! I was test revving it on the ground and my elevator assembly came loose again. I was holding it down as my tail is broken and the paddles jumped forward nearly hitting my hand

I have tried all of the adhesives out out there. Nothing can hold my elevator assembly together. It works for one flight. But then, it breaks loose and I crash. Is there a way to fix this or do I need to get Hubdaves mod as i see it uses stock screws. Do I just need plates. please help.

You tail parts went out in the mail today. The lady at the Post Office said it should be there Satutday, Monday at the latest.

I'm not sure how your belt drive set up works to be able to help you with the elevator problem. I know there are several methods out there. post a guestion on here on RR of how and what adhesive to use.
