I know the recommended pinion for the Himax 4200 is 8T, but is anyone running the 9T? It seems that my Shogun is a little sluggish with the 8T for 3D, I need to use most of my collective to get a decent hover. I am running a 3S2P battery at 90% in High governor mode and 7+/7- on the collective. When I first purchased this heli I had the 9T pinion on it, and it hovered at mid stick (+4) with no problem. At the time I had a 3-Cell 1500 pack that would heat up after about five or six minutes, so I got the bigger packs. At the same time I switched to the 8T Pinion. Now the motor stays around 135-140 and the batteries reach about 110 after ten minutes of flying, but I need more power.
