Look for the suffix ****.RSThe suffix ".rs" on a bearing code indicates rubber seal. Similarly ".2rs" indicates that it has 2 rubber seals, one on each side of the bearing. Look for the bearing with this suffix in Boca or any other good bearing supplier. I have a TT39 which spews out oil from the front bearing. Next time it comes out of the heli, it's getting a sealed bearing.
FYI, the seal is fitted to the outer ring and seals IN the lubricant by touching the inner ring of the bearing. It stands to reason that if you have a bearing with one seal, put in the bearing with the seal facing out of the engine to keep the lube in.
If you can only source a bearing with two seals, use a pin to get under the inner edge of the seal one one side and prize it out carefully. Having said that, there is very little holding the seals into small bearings, so you will not have much trouble.
