i've gone through my ball links quite a bit and i cant get more than 8 degrees of neg. i have the servo horns setup like the book and they are all drilled from the center using hirobo specs. i adjusted all the ball links so that the washout is level, and the mixing arms on the seesaw are perfectly 90, but on the low side the pitch assembly still bottoms out around 8 degrees and my ATV's are at 140 high 150 low. the next time i fiddle with it im going to shorten the pitch link coming off the servo, its about 2mm longer than the book shows, that may give me some more range, but i will have to go through the rest of the links inthe head again and square them all up.

any ideas, i'd like to get +10/-10

if any one has ball link specs or servo horn specs i'd love to see them!

to get 17.5mm from center on the pitch servo i had to use a futaba 40mm? wheel (largest one) is that possibly my problem? that still wont cure the pitch lever from bottoming out.....

figure out what the available mechanical
pitch window is. disconnect the collective servo
and measure the pitch at the big aluminum arm's
max up and down position. That will tell you
if the mechanical linkages are the culprit or
the servo arm/wheel/ATV is.

Those very double links that connect to the
blade grip? The book says 0.5mm. They need
to be more like 1.8ish.

To make sure you get enough cyclic pitch AND collective range use the hole furthest out on the short end of the upper mix arms (the end that goes to the blade grip).I think the instructions show it on the inner one
To get even more (cyclic pitch and collective)
you can also use the hole furthest in on the long end of the upper mix arms ,but with a full swash deflection it'll drive the cyclic pitch with a full swash tilt well past 6 degrees (gives something like 8,even more if using long balls on inner ring of swahplate)
that'll bog the motor too much.

Using the hole further out on the short end of the upper mix arm and the hole furthest out on the long end (down to the swash)
should give you 20degrees total range easily at 100%ATV both ways
if you are throwing the collective arm far enough through it's range with the servo wheel using a Futaba servo.I use the push pull collective mod and can't remember what distance out it was from servo centre before i fitted that .

Look at the arm that the blade-grip double link is attached to. If the ball is in the inside hole, move it to the outside. See what collective range you get. If you still want more, go to the other end of the arm. If the ball there is in the outside hole, move it to the inside. You will now have heaps of collective range.

KMorgan nailed it right on the hand, thats the magic trick ! with that being done you should have nearly 30 degrees of collective range.

make the link that goes from the collective push-pull, to the collective lever 81mm from centre to centre.... as stated above, you should be able to get some 30 degrees of pitch travel...
