Hello,

Tips or informations should be welcome.
I'd like to make my personal model but RMK seems very complicate .... and with poor documentation.

Thanks a lot

Yes, it is very complicated and extremely buggy. Make sure you save your WIP often AND to different file names. The more you work with it, the easier it will become as you get used to it's many quirks. Be prapared to spend 30 to 40+ hours depending on how much detail you want to get. Do your homework prior to starting a model; get pictures of all heli parts and take good measurements; separate some parts as necessary to get good detail. Collage everything into a single .bmp (1024x1024 worked best for me, even though 512x512 is what they recommend).

Someone has done a fair job of translating the German only RMK instructions to English (looks like a Babelfish/Google translation!) at:

http://www.ryanandkatrina.net/rmk/

There's enough info there to have allowed me to model one of my own planes (and the more I use it the more I like it compared to Metasequioa for FMS!). I still have a few "rough edges" that I'm trying to find answers to though so the more people who start using RMK the better so we can exchange tips.

By the way (depending on the complexity of the model) the RMK process can be quite quick - I guess my first plane took about 5 hours to get into the air.
