If you can afford to fly it...then you can afford to crash it...even if it is not by your hand. Don't sue the guy who accidentaly turned on his tx and sent your heli to the dunes. Accept his apology. If he does not appologize...then by all means sue the #^$#% out of him

If someone accidentaly crashed my heli by interference...I would be angry...but I would NEVER ask him to replace it, as long as he apologized.

The best lessons learned in life are by the grieving parties who caused the lesson.

If you fly it...it will crash!

Save time when crossing a one-way street by only looking in one direction

LGM,
your car compairsion isn't even close, if a kid hits you without insurance, doesn't matter what he was driving, its a cut an dried case. Of course the insurance company will cover your car {if You insured it against uninsured motorist} and they will go after him, but we are talking rc models,

How can you prove beyond a resonable doubt that he did infact make you crash???? You cant unless he willingly admits it!!! Or if you have witnesses who will swear that he turned on his radio AND thats its on the exact same channel as your model AND that he knew he was going to shoot you down. Again, its not about what is "FAIR" its about what is provable and what isn't. Hopefully if it ever happens, the guy will be honest and say it was his fault and his insurance will cover it, but the chances of that happening are extremly low. While It has happened in the past, it is very rare that someone will ever admit it was their fault.

Don't fly it unless your willing to have to walk away from it. I didn't say you had to happy about it, just willing to accept losing it to circumstances beyond your control.

Well, so much for staying on topic, I just hope all the guys here who feel they hold no responsibility if they shoot down somebody else's expensive plane never have an expensive plane that gets shot down, I also hope I never stumble upon your field while you're flying and you never stumble upon mine while I'm flying. It's a lack of responsibility in this world that causes so many problems, so, since this thread is no longer about the topic at hand.........

Now, back to our regularly scheduled program.......

Actually it is close, I was hit by a driver a few years back who decided to say exactly the opposite of what I said, claimed it was my fault. There were no witness's, in the end my insurance paid out, the only witness was the person in the car with me who was not a suitable witness because we were friends. So much for the cut and dried case theory.
RC models are no different, we don't HAVE to have models anymore than we have to have a nice car. But we choose to as humans who work for what we have. Sorry you feel that way, I hope that nothing bad ever happens to you where you get the short end of the stick.
