Anyone tried sharpening the leading edge of the stock paddles. Would seem that might make it (the paddle) more agressive.......

Stock blades in the ZOOM1 video.
Couldn't get the stock blades to track. They were really bad. Went with the EVO carbons. Track beautifully! Cyclic now sucks! What to do???? Would sure like to have cyclic like in the ZOOM1 vid!!!

Anyone getting performance like that (the video) out of the SAB's???

Thanks for the confirmation on the Eolo paddles, Philpop.

When you say response is about the same, I guess you're comparing them with the stock Zoom ones, right?
Guess so... as I said, I had the perception that they were, at least, a bit quicker... but then, again, I only flew in a very confined space where I only did some hovering and slow circuits...
(BTW, weather here still sux... it's pouring outside right now)....

About the light weight Eolo paddles, I only found them here, so far:
PADDLES 36 X 71.7mm LIGHT WEIGHT

Pitty they're a bit expensive and they come together with the Al paddle holders... still looking for a site that sells them separately.

Whoohaa!

Just came back from a test flight with some new paddles!
I tested with the eolo 3d lightend paddles (the ones with "tape" cover), they fit the stock paddle holders perfect... The heli sure got twitchy, but man, thoose rolls where quick! It turns on a dime!
Have to fly some more to see if I like them or not... Battery 2 is at 85% and still charging...

Ok... here's an alternative source for the Eolo lightweight paddles: CNC Lightened Robbe Paddles
But, at $24.60 they cost almost as much as a pair of main blades!!!
And, in this case, they don't even come with the holders!
No way! Guess I'm gonna try to make them in my milling machine...

Keep us posted on how that goes. I wish there was a upgrade replacement flybar/paddles that was made for the shogun and not just a part from another heli.

Nice job. Is it aluminum? Hard to imagine that made such a difference. It didnt change stability at all?

Hi Wedge, I think you are getting confused with the upper mixing arms on the flybar seesaw, these are the lower mixers down over the swash Philpops is talking about.

Hey, Philpop no need to get hasty, I just simply asked a question, to what I thought I hear before, hence I said, "I thought someone had tried this" and I never said I didn't believe you.

I m all for it if it works, I just like to hear more than one person say " it works " and I hope it does work well, cause I will want to get in on it too.

Thanks,
