I have a MS Composit Brushless heli motor 22/16 PN#MS001 and the mating controller M16 PN#MS016, which has a constant rotor speed setting.

How good is this setup on the Hornets? and would it be OK to use in a Shogun? Any website with more info on this stuff? Also is this thing manufactered by another name and private labeled by MS Composit?

I forgot about this since I have been using it on a shockflyer turning a GWS D gearbox and a 11X4.7 prop with tons of thrust......

The load on the motor with the Shogun is a lot different than for the hornet.

I used the hornet brushless motor on the shogun, a hacker B20-22 I think it was. It worked, but only for a few minutes at a time before it got too hot.

The hornet is around 300g, the Shogun averages around 500g.

The hornet could work well with the phoenix 10 amp ESC, the Shogun needs the 25 amp electronic speed control.

It would be better to put a recommended motor on it.
