I recently upgraded the video server to a more up-to-date hardware. I know the speed before was blinding fast but I had the opportunity to increase it even more.
I'm working on the programming for the uploads. They will include a progress bar indicator and you'll be able to upload multiple files and leave them uploading while you sleep. That way you can for instance upload a video, it's picture and the text description in one shot or two videos with their corresponding pictures and descriptions all at the same time.
I'm beta-testing it so I will re-activate the uploads soon.
I will also only allow authorized servers to hotlink to the site. I have traffic coming from places that have nothing to do with RC-Helis.
Nevertheless that being said I don't allow uploads that big. It's just useless to waste that much bandwidth when good Codec 9 compression is available. There are several videos of JK and Alan S that are longer than 20 minutes and they are in the 30 meg range.
Have it compressed as indicated in the compressing video instructions
of the video-server if you want to use the server.
