Brian we had issues last year.

How far is the flying stations from the pits and how far is the tall grass from the flying station?

I spoke to one of your guys at MHA. you can't set the cones a few feet from the stations and want some one to fly 300 feet away over the tall grass. my numbers may be off but the point is the cones were too close to the staions and the tall grass was way to far for anyone to see what the heli was doing yet alone do some 3d.
MOST OF ALL HAVE FUN!!!!
Are we going to have fun or is it going to be like last year? Funflys are for the peolple that come and should not be catered to what the guys at the club want. feed back from past events should give one an idea and also asking for pilot opinions is another thing also.

Hi Beast, how's things.

Yes, we've taken in all accounts from the issues last year.
We will have 5 or 6 flight positions on the main runway for 3D. Extreme 3D will be allowed on the end flight stations which is very close (10 feet or so) to the tall grass.

3D flying will be allowed on all flight stations on the main runway. The tall grass is approx 20 - 30 feet from the flight line cones.

There will be additional flight stations available on the short runway (away from the main flight stations) for novice flying, setup and Shuttle Challenge flying.

Of course, if there are any issues or concerns please report to the CD or event volunteers.

Please let me know if you have any other concerns or questions. I'll do my best to accomodate you.

Best,
Brian Pasternak
