I've always had this vibration in the tail of my Ergo 60, it was virtually non-existant at low rpm but in idle up, it was downright scary. Too lazy to track it down since it flew fine (I prefer a slower headspeed anyway ).
Anyway, I finally pulled off the tail rotor and noticed that the tail hub is way out of balance. Went through my stock of spare parts and ALL of them are pretty bad. I tried to balance by grinding off the heavy end. This worked but when I put the bearings back on, it's back out of balance. I'm guessing that the area inside from the threaded portion is what's off or the center is off. Is there any way to balance these things or do I have a bunch of junk parts?
