I was just wondering is there a way to tell if my flybar is centered? I bought this kit used of E-Bay and it was already built. The person I bought it from did the same thing with it but never flew it. Anyway after going over it I had to adjust links and balance the blades, but I just noticed that the flybar is not equal distances from the center to each paddle ( one paddle is a couple mm farther out than the other ) do I need to remove the paddles to check or can I just loosen the middle and slide it over?

Take all the linkage loose and see if it leans one way or the other. Or remove the paddles and measure. But at the end of the day it needs to balance

you should just remove the paddles and measure

A good ruler or even a 6" caliper (for you AR
types) is all you need. measure both, take the
average and set it.

I believe there are notches on the flybar where the set screws need to tighten down too and the paddles need to be screwed on until you can just see the rod in the window of the paddle.

Please correct me if this is incorrect

Thanks

You might want to loosen the two set screws to make sure the flats on the flybar are engaged properly. Then just make sure the amount of exposed flybar is equal on each side. Sometimes it doesnt work out to be perfect since you have to make a full turn on the paddle for adjustment. Last just make sure the paddles are level.
