how tight

the mains should be tight enough to resist a little when u open them.
so tighten them a little bit and try opening them if they dont resist at all tight more till u notice a little resistence then tighten a little more and thats it.
about ur tail blades they should be pretty loose you should be able to open them freely without feeling any resistence ( alittle bit resistence is OK though) but they shouldnt be too loose (if u open them and put them horizontaly they shouldnt fall but stay in place)

On the main blades I usually try to get them to hold in place when I lift up the heli and hold it on its' side and the blades don't fold downward, In other words, they should be able to be tight enough to hold themselves in place when it is held horizontally on its' side. Hope this helps...

My motto is this..Fly...Rebuild...Fly

How did your clutch fail before flight? Inquiring minds need to know?

I'd like to know too, I've got hundreds of flights on my original clutch and liner with no problems at all. I keep thinking that one of these day's I should replace the liner but then why fix it if it aint broke. Also why did it take four months to get replacement parts?

Thanks for help guys, about the clutch breaking I tried to start it but of course I'm new at this, the engine stayed running for about 5 seconds each time for about five starts first I saw black dust i thought what the hell then a bell sound like a ting of of metal hitting so i new something was wrong. I think the biggest problem with this heli is the manual is not detailed enough for begginers. I think this helicoptor will be a costly hobbie.
