It's been blowing heavy gusting wind here for 4 days now...

and I'm getting sick of it.. I've gone over every inch of my Raptor several times, cleaned it repeatedly.. balanced my blades, played with my throttle and pitch curves and oh, did I mention cleaned and inspected my helicopter repeatedly?

I'm dying to get out there and burn more fuel and test my new curves!!

I'm getting bummed out...

I fly Realflight G2 or race Nascar Racing 2002 online

Or...

I frustrate myself even more and try to get my darn CP Hornet to work right

Fly G2

I have a multiplayer session up every evening from about 5pm till at least 11pm EST or until I get up in the morning. And all weekend, even when I am out. I have taken it upon myself to be the best beta tester, cuz the rest of em aren't sending in reports. Beta version 550 is really stable, except for 2 minor issues which will be fixed before the coming weekend. I post of the list server and also at burstable if anyone is interested.

Fly indoors

I just fly my little piccolo indoors. Was great in December when we had too much snow/cold here. I was trying to land on different tables and shelfs in the game room. Had a couple of mishaps but it was still lots of fun. Of course you gotta have the room. Luckily that is not a problem for me but may be for others.

Just my "rainy day" or "crappy outside" alternative. You can only do so much with G2.

Sit and stare at my heli for hours on end.

Actually, being 19 and in college, my time is limited so i try and make the most of it. Flying my heli is a luxury with my schedule and classes. Hopefully this summer I can fly on a more regular basis.

Windy Oklahoma

Here in OKlahoma City it is always windy, So I learned to fly in the wind. Now if the winds are under 30 mph I go out and fly. You can really build up speed on the downwind pass but it takes forever to get back to you against the wind!!

If it is really windy I work on my Web Site or fly on the computer.

A CS Hornet would be nice to have if I only hand the money!!!

after flying yesterday off a gravel road I will be spending days off cleaning all the gritty dust that found it's way onto every part...
(note to self...gravel bad, blacktop good)

otherwise in the summer I go kayaking or disappear into the home theater during the evening...

cheers.....jeff

3D Hornet

A 3D Hornet is what to do on a rainey day! Inverted flight from the comfort of your own couch. Great for couch potatoes that just can't seem to get enough.. Like me! Although.... I think I might be Canadian at heart because 'Twobeers' may be on to somthing here!

I fly real flight wile listening to rush limbuagh on my cpu or play team fortress, http://coj.spies.com is the best server.

When Im on a trip, Im away from home so no chance to fly and sence im leary of carring model fuel in the baggage compartment I dont fly on the road (even though it would pass the time better) but im thinking about a piccalo or hornet for the hotel rooms.
