You will just have to wait for the kit. they are written in Japanese also. Just build it by the pictures.

I had read that they were Japanese. I thought it may help seeing some in advance, even if they are not the IMZ ones - I have never built or owned a JR heli before so I was looking to get a head start.
I did manage to find the Voyager E instructions, so I'm looking at those at the moment

Cheers

The instructions were in Japanese in my kit which I bought last year Feb 2001.

I wrote to MacGregor UK for English a version and I received a photocopied translated version of the manual so it looks like it was just being finalised for printing. I would assume that latest kits will contain English instructions.

To be honest, I finished building the kit before the English manual arrived and did not need the manual! Being typically Japanese, the instructions were very easy to follow - very pictorial and clear. The only really useful part of the manual, where the translation is important, is the radio setup although it is very JR specific (no surprise).

Was this the standard v50 or the IMZ ?
With a Japanese version, is the radio set-up actually readable or are we talking Japanese characters ?

I built the Voyager 30 last year which is extremely similar to the V50. I had the Japanese printed manual and used the Ergo 30 CCPM english Manual that I downloaded from somewhere (probably Horizon, I forget). The Build sequence, instructions and notes are all pretty much identical, only the pictures change.

So as far as the radio set-up is concerned, are you saying that I can use a set of standard Voyager 50 instructions ? If this is correct, that will be cool as someone as sent a mail saying I can borrow theirs and
scan it.

The manual was for a Voyager 50 'standard', not the IMZ. The IMZ was not out in Feb 2001! (at least not in the UK)

(Like I said in my post) the instructions are in English including the radio setup. It is the full manual which has been translated.

Do not confuse the Voyager E (electric) with the Voyager 30/50 (nitro). They are totally different models.

The 30 and 50 are similar apart from the gear ratios, boom and blade length, clutch, decals, skids. You can use the same radio setup instructions for either machine.

I suggest that you contact your distributor/importer to get you English versions of the manual.

Voyager 50 Manual On-Line

Try this link:

http://www.jrpropo.co.jp/heri_pa.html

It's in Japanese. Click on the one that has a bunch of Japanese characters followed by a 50. That's the regular Voyager 50. They don't have an on-line manual for the IMZ Voyager.
