There seems to be a small group of people (three in particular) that are continuously selling items here "NIB" for prices equal to or above new price. (just how many "extra" gy401/9253's can a person just happen to have?) Dealers???

And what must they be thinking? Pay 2% more (or the same price?!) and buy from some well-known and reputable shop like Heliproz/Cyberheli that will "make it right" if there's a problem, or save almost $2.00 and buy from someone on a forum? I don't see that being a hard decision to make.

Personally, I don't care if it -is- "new in box". Unless there's some written guarantee, why would we buy from an anonymous person? At least mark it down a fair amount from the new price.

What do you think? Am I just being picky?

Personally

.. I personally donot mind buying here (at my own rick..) if it is cheaper than any shop price .. Why would someone buy for more if it is available at cheaper in hobby shops..?

If the item is NIB and you are asking within 2-10% of the cost new
there should be a seperate forum. I can get 2-10% off at the
local hobby store if I push or buy enough. 2-10% off I would not
consider a deal. IE: NIB gy401 with servo 200$ come on and quit
wasting everyones time. I can pay 2-10% more and get a warrenty
and return it if I have any problems.
Every time I see deals like this I say to myself "Is this a dealer
of some one who stole the stuff and does not know about cyberheli
or helihut".
If someone knows of a dealer spaming our board report him,
they should have to pay for advertising just like everyone else
with a buissness licence.

Personally I would pay $200 for a NIB Futaba 401/9253 combo from someone on this forum if it came with a US warranty and shipping was included. If I bought the same thing from HeliHut, it would end up costing around $217 and it would not have a US warranty. It would also end up saving me about 8.5% compared to buying it from HeliHut.

Just my opinion,

Brooks
