Hey All... I thought a start a thread to discuss news of the new Futaba US distribution and repair business model.
At this moment Futaba products are a little hard to find in the US. I just did a Google to see if I could find a R7008SB receiver and, something I thought I'd never say, they are "no stock" or "coming soon" everywhere.
Please use this thread to post information as it becomes available.
One of the most valuable things you buy when you buy Futaba is the ability to have your equipment serviced locally, accurately and quickly. As the new repair facility comes on line please post your experience. We've all become accustom to calling Hobby Services for support - many with mixed opinions. I'm anxious to 1.) know there is a place to get my equipment serviced and 2.) know that it is a respected place with quality workmanship.
As I write this, the best information has come from Dr.Ben and is quoted below. The link provided contains some information.
Futaba USA (Hobby Radio Control divsion of Futaba Corp of America or HRC,...) is the designated importer and distributor now. Sales, service, and support will occur out of Huntsville, AL.
I suppose the first indication that "HRC" is up and functioning will be the reappearance of Futaba on US shelves.
Anyone got any news?
