Are you using a 3 servo or 4 servo CCPM scheme?

Here is a few mishaps that might also cause this

1 make sure you did not change the mode of the radio. It should be on 2

2 check and reset your throttle and pitch curves to default settings

3 you might need to reset your receiver back to factory.

There seems to be confusion here on how your swash should be controlled. Some speculate you have a three or four servo supported swash and therefore need electronic mixing (CCPM) in the TX to get everything moving correctly, others assume you have a stock Raptor 90 where one servo tilts the swash fore and aft (elevator), one tilts it left and right (aileron), and one pushes/pulls a lever that raises/lowers the swashplate for collective pitch.

Of those two possibilities, which one is it?

If this heli is truly a stock Raptor 90 with a standard swash control (one servo per axis control), only one servo should move when you apply fore/aft cyclic, and left/right roll cyclic.

When you advance or retard the throttle stick, the collective pitch servo and throttle servo should move.

Any movement other than described above is an indication your TX is in an incompatible setup mode.

Gentlemen
Firstly thank you all so very much for all your help. It should be so simple...shouldn’t it???
Dave it is a stock R90 with as described 3 servos to control the swashplate. The rear linkage is all part of the mechanics.
I have the throttle servo running lovely, the pitch only travels half the distance of the throttle.
As soon as I connect the servo at the top and push the throttle stick up, the throttle moves fine, the pitch half as much (so no change to them) but now the servo on top turns causing the swash to tilt to one side

After scale everything else is a toy!

As previously mentioned, your swash type is probably not set correctly.....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

Do you have a photo of the setup?

Yes done all that!
I’m trying to get the right combination of plugs into sockets on rx AND then the wizard only gives 120, 140 and 90 but only 3 servo not what is in effect 4 point ccpm that the raptor has.
Basically all servos work but all in the wrong order when working together. If that makes sence?
This is what is confusing me.

Your radio needs to start out as if you were going to fly an airplane. Elevator gives you full travel back and forth, nothing else moves

The aileron needs to move full travel and nothing else moves

ThrottLe gives full travel, nothing else moves.

Rudder gives you full travel, nothing else moves.

Servos plugged into the unused channels stay put no matter what happens to those four basic control functions.

No mixing, no exponential, no nothing extra.

Start with that, we'll go from there.

Why are you trying to use 4 point CCPM mixing when it not needed?

If you can simply select 1 Servo per axis control, then enable heli mode that slaves throttle to collective, you're done and the setup is so easy that even a caveman could do it.

So I downloaded a copy of the MX24 manual...quite a fancy radio, but it doesn't seem to be able to understand a simple, non-CCPM heli.

I have the radio here and single servo collective is the default. Pitch is CH1 and roll is CH2 while nick/ele is CH3.

Looking at the servo outputs I see no reason that a Raptor can't be flown with the radio.

I don't post as often as I used to, but it's nice to know I can still get things right! The user manual for that TX is quite a handful to read on my Samsung Galaxy S4. As always, I'm happy to help a fellow flyer.

If you fly a single servo collective machine like an R90 on airplane mode there is no pitch curve only throttle curve. Pitch would have to be controlled by end points as all the helicopter functions would be inactive. At least that is what I'm seeing on my radio.
