Ace Dude rrProfessor USA | I wish there was, but it's no laughing matter. This is very serious and they want us gone. They're doing everything they can to make it impossible for us to enjoy our hobby as we know it. The AMA should have really included these links to show the full extent of their views:https://www.commercialdronealliance...las-vegas-cze5nhttps://www.commercialdronealliance.org/news/

helitom rrApprentice Pine Grove, Calif, USA | To me, the big problem with this whole issue is that no one is smart enough to write down on a piece of paper what the difference is between our models (fixed and rotary winged) and a Wal-Mart drone. Until that can be done the gumment is gonna do what they always do; show the public they are on top of the problem. They try to make everything illegal and get back to the most important job at hand - getting re-elected.The older I get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

![]() rrMaster Cookeville, TN | The Commercial Drone Alliance is all over Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and every other social media outlet, in every Drone Weenie magazine either online or print and their lobbyists are in the halls of Congress. They honestly think that given their numbers which from an organizational standpoint aren't many but their pocketbooks are considerably deeper, that they can get rid of 336. Knowing how Congress has acted lately and how nonsensical they are despite facts which they don't understand, the only thing they will look at is the prestigious list of companies involved and hey that must be good right? IMHO, AMA is way behind the curve on this. They are aware of what's going on otherwise they wouldn't have come out with a Press Release so fast and firmly I might add but their argument and ultimately ours has to resonate with the right people.I've been saying this ever since this stuff started; the Drone Weenies are patently dangerous. They depend way too much on the automation and stabilization devices that are very simplistic. In case y'all haven't noticed the Russians have managed to disrupt military drones flying in Syria with attacks that amount to GPS denial which can happen here although with military tech there is a good chance that military NavSats will take over some of the workload to compensate on top of inertial nav capability that will get military drones back on the ground safely. None of the civilian stuff has access to military tech to my knowledge. Their machines aren't aerodynamic in the least as all of them simply thrust vector so any failure of the stabilization system, power system or propulsion turns them into a brick. With Senators like Bill Nelson of FL who isn't a friend to the FAA or the FCC he and others have managed to kill bills that should have easily been passed or maintained by Congress vis a vis last year's changes to 336.If 336 gets cancelled and we are lumped into the Part 107 ball of wax the folks at AMA and this hobby can call it a day. It will change and what form it will become is anyone's guess. The Drone Weenies will rule the sky and unless you own your own land and tell the FAA to stick it the chance of being regulated arrested and charged for enjoying what's left of the hobby is quite high. The FAA is woefully undermanned now and it will just get worse.Delayed Response Operator Not Engaged

![]() rrMaster Cookeville, TN | The Drone Weenie Alliance doesn't know the difference between Model Aircraft and Drones.....that's the critical difference right there. They are already confusing the issue with ignorance.Watch closely. Bill Nelson the idiot Senator from Florida will be a key player here because the Congress looks on him as an ex-astronaut. He's been a key foil in the ARRL's petition for an HOA variance that allows Amateur radio operators to have the "right" to put up antennas in HOA housing regardless of the HOA regs. The reason I bring that up is that ARRL consists of 900,000 members, AMA consists of 200K or less. He has also been a key blocker of maintaining 336 as it was. Again, this is an individual that has no idea what he is legislating for or against, so who do they believe when legislation is winging it's way through the halls of Congress. Facts don't speak to these folks. A clear safety record doesn't speak to these folks.Delayed Response Operator Not Engaged

![]() rrMaster Cookeville, TN | Here is another issue. Drone Weenies are stupid enough to overfly sporting events so in response companies are going to break the law in an effort to deny the operator the ability to control the craft.BTW, jamming legal radio emissions violates Part 97 of the FCC regs as the article explains but who will legally be able to use the jammer.https://gizmodo.com/nascar-events-i...that-1825196602 Delayed Response Operator Not Engaged
