My heart goes out to the 17 sets of parents and family members. I have two grown daughters myself and can't imagine such a loss.

I removed a post pointing to a story and video purporting the idea of a second shooter. This news is unfounded and does a disservice to all involved. The girl making the video should suffer consequences or punishment if in fact she purposely made up a phony story.

I still stand by the notion that a armed society is a polite society. Soft targets need to be hardened. Parents need to start parenting. The community needs to start policing itself. See something say something!

thx for that Mark... I was going to post based on experiences here at Ft Hood during the Hassan shooting. Same thing happened during that incident with several so called "eye witnesses" saying they heard other shooters in the area... it too turned out to be false and simply hysteria by individuals seeking attention.

We even hear the same stories with witnesses in Las Vegas... turned out to be sound reverberating from the tall buildings which lead others to believe that more than one shooter was involved... So was the case with the lone shooter (caught on camera) in 2016 of the shooting of Dallas police officers... the buildings also gave false impressions of multiple shooters.

My son is graduating from HS this year... and everyday I tell him I love him , and to have a good day... but I also have taught him to be vigilant and always be prepared to move, seek cover and concealment and distance yourself from any shooter even If that means busting a window and jumping out the second floor.

If you watch the video below it should make you think...sorry I just don't believe the "official narrative" anymore I try and come to my own conclusions with the information that is out there.

Love Hannity, Carlson, and Ingraham but as far as the rest of Fox just another "fake news outlets". And even they are on a leash IMO. The rest of the cable news channels just lie straight to our faces. Just toggle back and forth between Fox and Cnn...basically saying the exact opposite at times.

I agree that the Dallas shooting was echos but maybe if RM3 could watch the video below and give his opinion of the different gun blast recorded (some say a belt fed machine gun) which I can't speak to personally.

When this shooting happens right at the time Hilliary/Spermhead Obama along with the DOJ trying to pull of a coup with full support of main stream media...I say QUESTION EVERYTHING!!!

We have lost our way as a nation and seem to be so easily controlled like a herd of sheep that it makes me sad for my children's future.

We have been lied to by our "government" for so long with full spectrum domination and the media colluding with the "narrative" that American's don't know what the truth is anymore...and sadly many don't seem to care.

yeah Ive watched those videos... and no there was no "muzzle flash" caught on camera... military grade ammo such as the green tip m855 that we use has a minimal muzzle flash... which is further diffused buy the flash suppressor on most AR style rifles. In fact any "tactical" ammo will be designed to be as discrete as possible. Most Swat forces, (even our local Sheriff Dept) now use Suppressors which further reduce both muzzle flash to less than that of a lighted cigarette and muzzle blast (for standard velocity ammo).

BTW I stopped listening to poor ol Alex... that guy lost it a while back, add to the fact he is constantly pushing his worthless supplements on every show...

Agreed, armed teachers would be a good place to start.

More gun laws has been proven ineffective time and time again.

I dunno about that one... I barely trust them to teach my kids... I dont trust most of them with so much as a sharpened pencil.

we would need active on going training both on site and at dedicated training centers to ensure an armed teacher does more good than harm.

We cant even get them to actively participate in active learning with our kids... all they do is give handouts, tune out and do the minimum.

Im more in favor of employing ex-military and retied LEOs... after screening and additional training... then cut the pay of all the extremely overpaid school administrators and board members and use that to pay for their service in protecting the school and fund the physical changes required to better secure the school grounds...

granted all we are doing is treating the symptom... we are not treating the cause... a mentally ill kid, negligent friends/family, negligent institutions in contact with said kid...

I'm not against the concept, but considering that a lot of the teachers are mouth foaming ignorant libtards, it is not without some concern. These blockheads would likely shoot themselves with those "scary black guns that kill people all by themselves". Firearms in the hands of the sane and competent in the schools would give me great comfort, not concern.

I'm not comfortable with all the teacher bashing. I know some very dedicated teachers that work their butts off and my daughter has benefited greatly from their hard work. I've found most to be very concerned about the welfare of all their students. This latest event is a horrible tragedy and two teachers lost their lives protecting their students. Please honor their sacrifice.

yes sure there are a few... but you really think they are all worthy of carrying a gun and level headed enough, mentally tough enough to use such a tool to defend their students in such a case?

just cause your a great teacher doesn't automatically make you a great armed guardian..

BTW, my mother was a teacher as is my wife... there are great teachers... but I wouldn't trust them to use a gun in a crowded place in a time of great fear/stress to save anyone's live much less their own... my assessment comes from going to the range with them and experience with them during stressful situations. My own wife has told me she doesn't even trust herself with a loaded gun... never mind she has a concealed carry permit.

FBI admits mishandling tip about accused Florida gunman
PARKLAND, Fla. (Reuters) - The Federal Bureau of Investigation on Friday acknowledged that it mishandled a January tip that the 19-year-old man accused of killing 17 people at a Florida high school had guns and the desire to kill.

A person close accused gunman Nikolas Cruz called an FBI tip line on Jan. 5 to warn that he owned guns, had made disturbing social media posts and had the potential to conduct a school shooting, but its protocols were not followed, the FBI said in a statement.

This tip appears unrelated to the previously reported YouTube comment in which a person named Nikolas Cruz said “I‘m going to be a professional school shooter.” The FBI has acknowledged getting that tip as well but failing to connect it to the accused gunman.

“Under established protocols, the information provided by the caller should have been assessed as a potential threat to life,” the FBI said in its statement on Friday. “The information then should have been forwarded to the FBI Miami field office, where appropriate investigative steps would have been taken. We have determined that these protocols were not followed.”

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...n-idUSKCN1G00T7

This is a further indication the FBI is not focused on the welfare on this country but on political goals of the left. I suspect the FBI agents guilty of NOT following protocol will not be fired.

No, I'm not advocating for teachers to carry firearms in schools. I just felt the tone of a comment or two was overly negative to teachers and we may even have a teacher or two that are RR members. Interestingly, in Utah a teacher can carry a concealed firearm in school as long as no one knows he has it. If on the other hand someone sees the weapon and reports the teacher he would than be in violation of district policy. Law vs. Policy!

I have nothing but respect for my daughters teachers...even the so-so ones. I trust my daughters well being to them, and thus far they have not let me down. If they teach something that I strongly disagree with, I let them know. I will always have the highest respect for Teachers, Law Enforcement, First Re-sponders and the Military. Some of the most important jobs in our country, and for the most part, the most underpaid. However, I think that teachers should not carry....and not because I don't trust them. I want them focused on my children, not worrying about carrying a piece. I do believe that their should be security at schools...they are soft targets. They always will be. My heart and prayers go out to all of those affected by this horrible tragedy.

very good point... leave the defending to those best suited to such a task. but also do not deny individuals should they prove they are capable (as a very last resort?)... guess there is always a gray area to deal with.

Agreed. Does not mean teacher reform or changes should not take place with a goal of protecting students better than no armed people at all, like now.

Would not require or even need all teachers, but more positive guns on campuses would help.

New term invented/developed ""Positive guns""

Many of the current teachers are dimwits at best, many I would stand in front of in a fire fight and defend.

But many/most of these teachers have very little "total education" and it would not be hard to add additional education for some, to give them the skill to deal with teaching and protecting.

Who would you rather have in class teaching your kids? some liberal old hag and feminist weirdos OR a 40-60 year old man trained and packing for terrorism use only. Not for policing children.

Yeah . . . some of the inner city schools are so out of control that about the only thing that would contain the banshees are electric cattle prods and firepower. Sad, but they make it that way themselves . . . The school didn't suck before the banshees overran them . . .

And yes, I do have a lot of respect for teachers . . . many were friends, and my folks were university professors. My point was that the severe liberal bent in some makes them utterly useless in a crisis, other than to lead the charge to hide and freak out . . .

Deaths of Innocents
I absolutely think there need to be some changes regarding this mass murders of kids/young adults. Be willing to pay more in taxes to put in armed security LE/Military that are trained with AR15's. Taking or banning guns will not solve this problem. The schools need to harden down and not easily accessed from the outside. Yeah, everything against free society! It feels like the Terrorists are winning.

I will say this, people's morals are hitting rock bottom and this spreads terror in our society! Speechless for the most part......

We need to stop it somehow! I would love to have GOD return back to our nation. I truly believe GOD restrained evilness.
