Probably was using a cloned FBL unit which didnt support tandems and would have been better off using a "Dyson" ball versus wheels.

High hopes indeed.

Pretty good - got airborne. I would guess better than 99% of the home-made helis out there...and considering this almost a quarter century ago too, even more impressive. Good design/layout if you have limited tech.

I honestly think the giant chrome steel balls he was carrying shifted to one side pulling the prototype over resulting in the crash... it was also obvious that the engine he selected, although powerful, was not enough to lift them out of ground effect.
