I just saw this a little while ago and if I am double posting, I do apologize.

This is the NTSB final report of a collision between a Phantom and a full scale military helicopter in NY. As would be expected, the Phantom pilot was found to be at fault.

What I see out of this is that the FAA is holding fast to the line of sight requirements for modelers. UAVs flying out to 2-3 miles via FPV is not going to hack it, at least from what I see in this report.

Not going to editorialize, just want to make everyone aware of this incident.

First drone collision with regular aircraft I've heard about- I hope it's the last! Drone pilots need to make sure they are flying safe whether or not they are flying for fun.

Just got a mandatory update on DJI go app for my phantom 3 pro stating: that if flying outside of safe flying limits that DJI can take over flying my drone????
