I hope this wasn't from my tuning? LOL

Can it be repaired with a TIG welder?

it's possible to weld it again ... the guy using the TIG better be good. I imagine the wall of the pipe is thin.

might be easier to braze it back on

Not only is it thin, it’s also contaminated with oil.....

Welding aluminum is an art.... I did some “back in the day” but never got good at it ....

As said , whoever you get to do it for you better be REALLY good......

And yea, you might have a tuning issue as that sort of fracture is engine vibration related

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

New pipe installed
I took one of my new TT 50 pipes and bore the holes out and used a nut/washer. The OS32 20c carb stays around 210-220F on ground and 240F in air. It burps on the low end, but we are flying top end. The helicopter just sings!

Need to post a video .....wow ditch your 30 pipes!

If doesn't work out long term let me know.
I have a pipe for OS 37 that's collecting dust.

Looks similar to the one you just posted.

I always preferred drilling out the threads and using a longer bolt with the lock washer and DOUBLE nuts (jam nut) on the other end ..... never had a pipe come loose that way .....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

Oh yeah,
If you are gonna fly the .32 OS heli engine, get the ABC piston none ringed version. More power than the ringed version fyi.

Personally, I would never put a 32 in a 50 airframe, period.......

And if you're going too use an ABC non ringed motor, your tuning better be spot on..... they won't tolerate lean runs well....

Not starting a war here, just stating my opinion.....

I think you will be surprised....we will let the video speak for itself! I am picky with my helicopter performance. At this point, I am pleased with my porky raptor 30! I have the latest shuttle and it doesn't come close to raptor 30 performance!

I am not being biased...trust me!

I had a dream of using a pull start OS 32 in nx4.

My setup would have been old school no bar & tail gyro

I might someday still.

Please do not advise me dangerous ideas! I may get our hobby banned!

Okay I managed to get a video of the Raptor in the air today. I really didn't fly it well. I've a nasty sinus infection and my brain is tired!

The auto focus was enabled by accident so I apologize!

I am confident the OS32 is tuned in well!

Watch at YouTube

People asked for my JR-8103 settings/Helicopter so here!
