Anyone has a list or link of who makes what servos under the different brandings?

Surely there is a manufacturer or two putting out several namebrands out the same assembly line.

I've "heard" a few such as align-savox but no clue if ever confirmed.

I have a list for blades so curious as to the servos.

Seeing another post asking about a new unknown servo in the market prompted this thread. I didnt want to hijack his.

I am sure you are correct. There may be differences in component costs/quality even if they come out of the same place. Molds, labels, CNC trivial differences, colors make them look different. Do you remember when every servo on the entire planet used the Mitsumi motor and CTS pot? Companies shared the molded parts. Sometimes different colors. Orange Bantoms.

I am sure everyone does not write their own processor code!

Pete... Hijack away! I don't think your question and mine are dissimilar.

I've asked the same question several times over the years and not really found an answer. There can only be one or two places these are coming from. Maybe we'll get an answer this time 'round. See the above thread.

I'd like to know if there is one or two root manufactures and if everything else is made to a re-sellers specification; however, I don't know what value that would really have. If BK, for instance, specs better components and firmware from the same supplier as Align, hypothetically, but both are made from Mom's Kosmic Servos, do I care? If every servo presently sold is made by some central manufacture, am I any smarter for knowing who that is?

Just on what I've learn from using

Savox makes Align
Savox makes Spektrum (same as Align but with JR Spline)
MKS makes what was formerly known as Torq
RJX makes BK but Servo King makes RJX ... LOL

HS,

So, what other “rebranded” servos are made by Hitec ???

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

Yes, no doubt there are differences coming out of the same place.

I figured that perhaps this curiousity quest may shine a light of which ones come from the same assembly line and should give you an idea of quality control, sort of speaking. Say IF a manufacturer had ISO 9001 standards, anything coming out of its doors "should" give you peace of mind...you would think.

Given, truth behind the specs can be measured and compared across the many brands, eventually it comes down to how much money do you want to sink into the project versus risk assessment.

Examples:
A flying buddy bought a second hand Align 500 with "Solar" servos. Some of us raised an eyebrow and were like...whaaaat?. When you search about them and see their specs and price you squint and wonder more. To date they have not dissapointed even after one crash...so far. Sure not a true test but it makes you wonder.

Ive read here where a well known heli flyer successfully uses car servos in his helis. While the brand is reputable, it makes me wonder why are the heli servos higher in price for same performance? Marketing 101 comes to mind.

I see that and Im hoping this thread may give us both, as well as others, what we are curious about.

Thanks all for sharing.

I was searching for Hitec rebrands. I have not found any. I did not know of multiplex relationship. Thought others might like to see it.

The Hitecs are made by a Korean servo manufacture with an offshoot of Hitec Korea.
