Hi!

Want to ask any knowledgeable flyer based in Israel if they can point me to the Israeli rules and regulations regarding RC model aircraft specifically.

Here in India the government is trying to apply commercial drone rules to RC aircraft and claim they are using Israeli regulations as a benchmark. Somehow I dont think this is true otherwise aeromodelling would be impossible in Israel (which is obviously not the case)

Thanks for any help in advance

The laws in India are in draft form. The link provided does not provide information on the draft rules. If you are so inclined to go through the them here they are: http://www.dgca.nic.in/misc/draft%2...AR%20-%20UAS%20(Draft_Nov2017).pdf

The ones given for Israel are unclear on the link you provided...it says that models up to 5 kgs (11 pounds) do not need any permission to fly...but there are no details given what sort of permission is to be sought to fly heavier models.

For example a quick look at at our dear RR member (I3DM) Facebook page shows that indeed one can fly models much heavier than 11 pounds freely in Israel.

So the question is what are the comprehensive rules with all the clauses and exceptions?

The links I provided have further links to the specific authorities regulating such and the reason why I posted them.

If it was me, I would be contacting them directly versus going by someone's facebook page in order to get the correct information and avoid penalties or worse.

Optionally join for free their drone community to further discuss regulations.

That is the scope of help I can provide from the U.S.A.

Best of luck.

Just curious...

Why on earth would India institute rules developed by Israel?

Israel is constantly attacked by Arab terrorists.

And India is not.

There is no connection between these two situations...

India is under attack by Paki terrorists which are backed by a nuclear state...that said there are far more effective ways to spread terror than DJI drones...so the rules in the current form are beyond absurd
