I have 4 Pulse LiPo's, 22.2v, 5000mAh 45C "new" batteries which have been stored since last summer, inside, storage charge.

Yesterday I pulled them out just to cycle them one time. All of them had one cell "dead" with the other 5 cells at normal storage charge. There is not a scratch on these batteries, I never used them, just bought in a lot to have a few extras. Now that I need them, well their useless.

I love Pulse Products, and between Transmitters, Receivers, and Main Packs, they are great.

About 2 years ago I bought 4 of them. At that time 1 of the 4 had a dead cell.

Just sharing this hoping somebody has an idea or instructions to see if I have any recourse.

As it stand now, all I can do is take one battery and use it as a donor using cells for the other 3.

Again, I think Pulse is one of the best and will continue using them, but I am very disappointed with my current situation.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone, Dennis

If the same cell is dead on all the packs, I'd use something else to double check them with.

It happens...

Having a new battery from shopping list but old manufacture...

.try just charging the bad cell... As a one 3.7 volts cell... Fool the charger by setting as nicd 4.8 volts and 0.5 amps... Watch for voltage till increase to at least 3.0 volts....
Change now to lipo charge one cell...
If cell recover, good...

If you understand this procedure, do it...

Even if you could bring that one cell “back to life” I personally would not trust the pack(s) for use on anything valuable.....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

IF they all have the same dead cell, suspect the charger.

After doing such a procedure, do a fully controlled discharge (3.7 volts per cell) and then a full charge and read internal resistance... Unbalanced results mean dead meat... Higher reading of 30 megaohm, dead meat....

I already have, plus checked other batteries on the circuit I was using. I don't know exactly which cell is bad in each pack, but my Ohm Meter will tell me. I just have put them on the back burner for now. I charged about 16 of my batteries, then put them back in storage charge, these are the only 4 I had trouble with.

I agree, I have a trick, but the first one I checked, the bad cell read like .26 , so I don't think there's much help for this cell.

I have three separate chargers, plus several balance plug testers. My Ohm meter "doesn't" lie as well.

I have over 50 LiPo batteries. All are doing great. It's just been in the last year I have received 5 Pulse Batteries, brand new, never flown, all 22.2v, and all had one bad cell.

Yes, I could probably get the dead cell over 3.2 volts, but I doubt it would last long.

FWIW, I have 4 Floureon 11.1 volt LiPo's, 5500mAh batteries I bought over a year ago. I made a post to everyone to see or hear their thoughts on these batteries. I tried several Chinese Knock Offs.

The Floureon batteries are still going strong, when recharging them, the IR's are never over 2.5 . I can't say this for the other knockoffs.

I have great success with GenAce batteries as well.

I will buy Floureon based on my experience with the 4 I have. I will try to post pictures when charging just to show the wear and tear on the batteries, plus show the IR's when charging. Needless to say, I am shocked with these batteries.

Without "proof of manufacture's day" is very difficult to stand a point or conclusion.

Probably, in the near future, we will ask for a stamp on packs, relate to manufacturing day...

That's a good idea...

We should demand it!

As IR increases from the day of manufacture of the each battery.

Proof of purchase ...
Serial number...

Not enough!

Every day, we have new *trade mark ", offering miracles... using same asiatic lipo cells.
Same trick... Lipo packs only different because a fancy. label on it.

Buying a good lipo pack? Like winning a lottery...
