Im with ya on this one. I just sold my last heli. Can't afford it any longer. Two small daughters, a mortgage, two car payments (soon) and a stay a home wife, nope, not going to happen for a while.

I might get back into electric plankers. Loved my WWI biplanes and so easy to repair on a 'rough landing'.

But not for now.....

If you don't fall into the trap of having to constantly update equipment to the latest and greatest, you should be able to fly helis or fixed wing without breaking the bank.

Used equipment sells for a fraction of new and there is always someone wanting to sell perfectly good equipment because they are updating. Heck, I've given away very good equipment to people who I feel will appreciate and use it. I know of others who have done the same.

If you really want to fly, where there is a will, there is always a way.

sjgusmc21,
i wouldn't sell them all. keep at least 1 and your radio. i kept 2 50's so if i ever had the urg... its to pricey to buy all new stuff again and as TruckRacer said there is is good older versions out there.

heck i still have a v1 TT raptor that flies good i bet its every bit of 17 years old- just upgraded the blades to CF but it has a 401 gyro and still holds pretty solid

only you have the power to make no difference!

When I get back into it, I am going nitro or a gasser. Never was into the 3d crap, just putting around.

I live in Texas now, not uppity-@ss Northern VA, so not to worried about it.

I will get back into, but I do know the folks that bough my heli's are enjoying them. To me, half the fun (if not more) is building them.
