D@mn, I just pinched myself and woke up..

It'll never happen. Not even a small part of it.

So, we are screwed.
That is where I am at.

We have been double crossed (sold out) by local, state, and federal governments.

I am only clinging to the wall because it is at least something.

Plus I do completely believe we need the other ideas. But the wall is also a symbol that we are progressing.

The defeat of the wall will emboldened the leftists to tear down all our defenses.

I believe California MUST be brought down with state officials bearing the brunt for their open defiance of federal immigration laws.

I say build the wall and then tell California we are coming for them.

There is continuous rhetoric from inside the DC beltway that, "we are a nation of laws". Yet, when state, regional or local elected politicians blatantly break those laws (Jerry Brown, for example), there are never any federal agents there to arrest them.

The older I get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

Dilbert, I'm with ya. Think I want to sink millions, if not billions into a D@MN WALL? Nope, never have. But its a start, and it will work if everything else is put into place as well.

But none of it ever will be. So, again, we are screwed, and my daughters are screwed because THEY will continue to feed the leechers with their hard earned money.

And for you:
I was born in Japan 57 years ago (today- it's my birthday!) Does that make me an anchor baby in Japan? Can I and all of my family just drift in, set up shop, and begin receiving Japanese social services? No? What kind of wall does Japan have that keeps people like me from setting up camp? Maybe we should look at something like their system.
Really? See you have this thing called a HUGE BODY OF WATER that is your buffer zone. We don't have it. Just look on any map, its there.
You can't even compare our system to Japans. Anchor baby, give me a break.
And Japans system is quite strict. Nothing compared to ours. When was the last time you were there?

The wall is a "don't bother trying" symbol and shows we are finally getting serious about all of this and it's a 1st line of defense. Follow that up with rounding up and cleaning out the undesirables ( which we should have been doing all along). There's no reason for deporting undesirables more than once. If the morons in DC can't accomplish that lets put people in place that will. I'm a "dreamer" also I dream of a country that puts it's CITIZENS first.

Some call that being a racist I call it being realistic.

Let's explore that...

Just got back from my globe. Huge body of water. Got it. Just Googled it - you're right, it is there.

I think what you are saying is that the water surrounding Japan acts as a virtual wall keeping illegal immigrants out. You seem to suggest that Japan doesn't need a wall because they have the Sea of Japan to hold the 2 billion people of Korea, China and Russia at bay. Is that about right?

Japan does't need a wall because they have a wall. They already have the buffer zone I (sarcastically) suggested.

Do water walls work? The answer may shed some insight into how our solid wall might work. Study the images below. What do you take away from them? What lessons are there to be learned about physical barriers, natural or man-made, that we might apply to the building of our wall?

When was the last time you were there?
I or my family travels there periodically. My daughter lives there. I am an airline pilot. I travel to many part of the world - (very) often. Did you have a followup question or was that just general curiosity?
And Japans system is quite strict. Nothing compared to ours.
And finally you landed on the above- and I wonder if this isn't the point I was making - maybe Japan's lack of illegal immigration has less to do with a wall, aquatic or otherwise, and more to do with their "system". At the risk of quoting myself, "Maybe we should look at something like their system."

"Well, Nothing bad can happen now."

As I said, you already have natural water foundations that prevent people from 'walking into your county'. So, either way you put it, it is there.

Don't care how many people live in China, Korea, where ever. Japan has a strict immigration policy AND huge body of water to help reinforce it.

So yeah, my point is just that. You're a pilot? Good for you.

It is so much easier to spray bullets. I don't want to work out with invaders. Your human nature thinking that people are genuine. Only a few bodies will shut that border down. Problem goes away, when people know it is death to cross into no man's land.

I know this is a horrible thing to express. Nothing else will work until there is a price to pay. Liberals are part of these problems. Liberals have no issues with open borders as long it is not them paying for the free loaders or affecting them personally/family.

I value an AMERICAN LIFE over invaders. Open border being push by dems/repubs only secure them more votes to destroy our way of life and Constitution.

This border issue disgusts me. I know the agenda, yet I can't do anything about it. Americans are so blind, they do not realize that their country is under attack and being systematically destroyed from within.

I know the truth, all I can do is pray for our country to awaken from the slumper.

I totally agree with you and I think most (maybe all) here also agree.

The problem is we have NO government at the local, state, or federal level that would ever do that.

We will be lucky to get a wall...and we don't have it yet.

I think we can all agree the illegals in the US should be deported and the border secured to prevent future violations.

There are different methods and we all have our favorites, but I think most of us would be happy for our government to PICK ONE AND JUST DO IT NOW!

Bingo...that is our real problem...we wouldn't have illegals if our government was legit.
