whats mexican food?...

100% of everything is some combination of the following:
beans, rice, cheese, meat, flour, corn...

But what you cant argue with is death shall you pass without permission.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Border Walls Are All the Rage Worldwide Because They Work

One may support or oppose the Trump administration's grand design in terms of home security: the building, or the "updating," of a 3200-kilometer barrier between the United States and Mexico. One cannot deny, however, that such structures – hermetic and heavily monitored separations, instead of merely classic borders – are quite common today.

If you look at what it costs us to deal with having millions of illegals in the country, the border wall is the biggest bargain in history.

Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about!

More to the point of this thread... A wall won't work. Sorry. I wish it would but it won't.

It won't because there are to many liberals that don't want it to work. Inevitably there would be some Californian hedge fund manager with too much money and ego who would fund its failure. The success of any project comes with commitment to the project. In the case of illegal immigration, I don't see the liberal political agenda allowing America to implement any plan that would substantially change the current situation.

The great wall of China was, in part, a jobs program. That is what our wall would be - a governmental jobs boondoggle.

As I see it, the solution lies in the incentives to come here. We needs some people with 40 pound heads to study this but my off the cuff impression is that people come to America from Mexico, Central/South America for jobs, safety and publicly provided services (schools, medical, welfare, etc). The solution to illegal immigration would seem to center around eliminating these incentives.

My dad said if you have a pest problem, ants/mice/rats/roaches/raccoons, eliminating the food source is the first step.

bingo....start with eliminating welfare for illegals... and if the kid is born here and the parents are illegally here, or just visiting... the child shall not be given citizenship unless they wish to give up the child to adoption and cut all legal ties (with a family already waiting to accept, we have enough un-adopted kids that are aging out of the system already).

IMHO the only other way you should be able to gain citizenship is through military service to the country with an 4 year commitment minimum (none of this 1 year crap) or application process... with a requirement of ability to read, speak and write English for either method. any family members must also apply and meet the same language requirement if over the age of 9... marriage does not warrant citizenship.

no more chain migration, no more "anchor" babies, no more freebies, no more subsidies for offspring for anyone legal or otherwise.

The wall will help, but i am quite sure Trump's other plans are far more effective.

For a short while Arizona was going to have citizen status be part of drivers licenze or AZ ID cards. Just at the mention of those plans quite a lot of illegals packed up a few things, dumped thier furniture on the sidewalk and went home. 6 houses on my street alone.

https://www.dailycaller.com/2017/10...al-immigration/

If California wants 11 million more illegals, that's fine, we can arrage that.

As long as California remains a sanctuary state and cities across the US remain sanctuaries, illegals will continue to flock there.

All the laws in the world will not stop this from happening...heck we already have federal laws forbidding people form entering the US illegally.

Go ahead and pass more laws that Democrats will not obey.

More laws to stop illegals are just as good as more laws to stop murder.

We'd need a wall on the California border then, lest the infestation migrate east . . .

It's good to have this discussion.

There appears to be two schools of thought surrounding those of us opposed to uncontrolled illegal immigration...those of us in favor of the wall and those that feel the money could be better utilized while doing a better job.

The anti wall people either think a wall won't work and/or there are cheaper more effective ways to control the border.

As a waller (my new name for pro wall), I totally agree with the anti wall about there being cheaper more effective ways to control the border than building a wall.

Where I differ with the anti wall people is due to my lack of faith in our local, state, and federal government in carrying out the more effective methods.

California will forever remain a sanctuary state and so will major cities. There are so many people living in crap holes, they will do anything to just reach a sanctuary knowing free help is there waiting for them.

As far as a no man's zone complete will machine guns and guards willing to enforce this...our wimpy government would never allow this.

Here's a simple solution:

Build the D@mn wall,
Man the wall with border patrol and military,
Cut off all taxpayer funds to illegals,
Start rounding illegals up. Call it what you want, don't care.
Issue a national 'US Citizen' ID Card. Yes, I know, but it is needed.

ABOVE ALL, START ENFORCING THE CURRENT LAWS!

All cities ACTIVELY supporting sanctuary status to illegal aliens need ALL FEDERAL FUNDING CUT OFF.

D@mn, I just pinched myself and woke up..

It'll never happen. Not even a small part of it.

So, we are screwed.

According to the no-borders crowd, if the wall won't work, then why so much effort to oppose it?

The cost is a drop in the bucket compared to the waste and fraud perpetrated on the US federal taxpayers....it would provide work for people to construct it....and according to the anti-border crowd can be easily defeated....

The anti-border crowd should be cheering it on.....

I'm in the camp that is against building the wall. I will concede that building the wall might help but not enough to justify the cost to build, maintain and staff it.

I would suggest that if a wall will help, two walls - 100 yards apart - would work better. It would create an zone where any warm body should not exist. Now. Tell me I'm wrong. Let's do it!!!

Or, we could fill the zone with Javelinas with laser beams on their heads. I wouldn't want to meet the immigrant that would face off with 200 charging wild, hungry, hogs with deadly ray beams on there heads. Alright. That would help but it is also ridiculous. And that is the point. There are suggestions and ideas that might help, but that don't really get to the core of the problem and would cost silly amounts of money.

I was born in Japan 57 years ago (today- it's my birthday!) Does that make me an anchor baby in Japan? Can I and all of my family just drift in, set up shop, and begin receiving Japanese social services? No? What kind of wall does Japan have that keeps people like me from setting up camp? Maybe we should look at something like their system.

well considering Javalinas like to snout each others a$$es... my guess is your Javalina population would self eliminate in a few hours...

but honestly simply getting rid of all this welfare for illegals and their extended families would either result in self deportation or proper assimilation... what would remain is the criminal element, with those only fear of death will fix.

there here because of the freebies... there aint no freebies in Mexico, central America or South America... and because of the corruption in those areas that favors the rich (which sadly we grow more towards everyday)

I like he wall.. but its pointless if there is no consequence for crossing it.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...
