Found this good info on other site, if your super scales are going through main gears and powdering causing vibes this looks like the answer I have not tried it yet.

Great find. Thanks for posting. I may try this gear set out on my HSM-800 mechanics.

I'd like to know how how may people are experiencing problems with the stock gears. I just picked up a 800 UH1-D from RCA(latest version) and I haven't heard we have a main gear material problem. Helical gear is very interesting though.

My Roban 700 Super scale Cobra (early version 1 mechanics) had maybe 100 or so flights on it before she met her maker. Never saw any adverse gear wear on mine. I have never heard of gear issues either.

Setup and maintained properly, I think the mechanics are just fine and can provide many, many hours of trouble free flight.

I like hearing positives. It's my first superscale. I had a lot of issues with the tail on my 600 size Huey. Took me a while to pull the trigger on one because of it. But I'm impressed so far. I took it completely apart just cause I had to. Main shaft straight, ball links all good and tight, all bearings good and great mesh with the tail gears. Loctite in all areas that needed it. Going to maiden the mechanics this weekend.
Cheers

I have about 20 flights on my 800 UH-1D now -- no problems with the gears at all. I am wondering if the helical main gear and pinion may be quieter though? I figure I will buy them and hang on to them until it's time for maintenance on the mechanics, then try them out.

Damn that is sweet with the sunset. What is the headspeed and are you using the stock blades? I can't believe how well the sound is on the video. Starting to get jacked up about this bird!

Full disclosure: I have a sound system installed in the Huey, which produces the distinctive wop-wop-wop Huey rotor sound.

IIRC, headspeed is about 1300 or 1350. Main blades are 800mm scale blades from Spin Blades.

They are awesome. Asymmetrical, nice and heavy.

Yeah, you caught me with the sound system. Did you by any chance compare the Spinblades with anything else on your Huey ? Did you fly the stock blades? Spinblades always seem like a pain to get and are kinda pricey. I do use the asymmetricals on a couple of other helis but I never did extensive testing or comparisons.
Thanks
EDIT: Thanks for the link. After figuring out the Euro and the Vat that they don't charge us..I ordered a set to try !

Did you fly the stock blades?
I did try the stock blades, yes. I didn't have any other 750 - 800mm blades at the time. I ordered the SpinBlades shortly thereafter. While waiting for the SpinBlades to arrive, I ordered a pair of Align symmetrical 800mm blades. These were heavier and had a wider chord. They flew much better than the stock blades. I flew those until the SpinBlades arrived. I have been flying the Spins ever since. Much heavier with the CG noticeably out at the blade tips. They fly very smoothly. One caveat though -- I have yet to fly them in moderate to high winds. I expect they *might* tend to balloon a bit in the wind being asymmetrical. I will let you know, as this time of year it tends to be pretty breezy.
