something about "volumetric efficiency"

here's a pipe I modded on a Shuttle,

and the extension sleeve used to increase the pipe volume

because I increased flow by porting, polishing, and matching everywhere possible on the original os32 the flow increased therefore the pressure in the pipe also. I experimented with longer spacers and found that the extender best suited was the one increasing the pipe volume by the same amount as the additional flow of the motor, about 10%, no baffles.

I don't know, wikipedia must be run by monkeys if it isn't describing the 2 stroke ic motor and pipe tuning properly.

No, I haven't learned anything from rebuilding a few motocross motors, from porting and polishing heads and intake manifolds on Chevy v8 motors and rebuilding a few from ground up, on a raced motor, and on a 305 brought up to about 300hp with the same methods, no, I know absolutely nothing, that's why I'll link you to people who do,

http://www.modelgasboats.com/magazi...ng-a-tuned-pipe

This may be the worst thread ever. It is defined by bad information, bad communication, bad English, lack of respect for each other, lots of talking and zero listening, etc etc...

Is there any turning this around or should I unsubscribe?
