Hey guys I'm trying to set up my first nitro bird and my rave 700 came with a cyb atg v3 and I'm trying to hook up my rev glow but they both have the magnetic sensor and it's only possible to hook up one sensor to my os91hzr.
The directions say it's possible to hook up to a throttle max , revMax, or throttle jockey pro unit. Or it can be used as a stand alone glow ignition, but it also says that you won't have Hot start protection with this method. I guess I'm not even sure what a hot start is, I'm assuming it just fires up and revs open throttle. But what is this caused from, just a full throttle on the transmitter and not paying attention to your settings, or is it from your settings being correct but choking or priming the engine before starting it and an extra amount of fuel built up in the carburetor?
So my question basically is, has anybody ran the atg v3 with model avionics RevGlow and if so could you please help me wire it up the correct way. I bought all this used and my RevGlow looks Alittle different then the one pitchured in the directions.
I'm not sure if the guy did some customization or if it's just a newer version but I'll post acouple pixs.
Basically I have the device and it's got one set of wires coming out that looks like a regular servo extension (orange, red, brown) and then I have a thicker red cable and black cable coming out- the red just has an alligator clip on the end and the black has a y hook (I'm assuming it's for ground) but then heat shrinked BESIDE it is the servo wire with the magnetic sensor on the other end.
Well I hope I did not confuse any of you, I guess I'm just confused because you can't hook two magnetic sensors up to the OS91.
Thanks in advance and I'll be posting pixs shortly so you can see my RevGlow and the one pitchured.
I appreciate any and ALL help guys!

What you have is a customized neat wiring scheme where previous owner paired the magnetic sensor to the ground wire with a nice anti shafing fiberglass mesh.

Just remove magnetic sensor and you will have it back to original just as in the manual.

HOT START
Because RevGlow applies current to the glow plug when it detects a signal below 25% throtle (or any channel it is plugged into)

By connecting to a Throtle Max, it automatically applies power when you are cranking the engine given ThrotleMax uses a sensor to detect engine RPM and sends signal to RevGlow to become enabled when RPM is low (such as crancking or throtle hold), thus avoiding eng shut down.

Without ThrotleMax you can plug into an usused channel and slave it to the throtle channel (mix) so that it mimics same curves and assigned to a switch. Since its switched, it will only turn on when mix switch is enabled. Depending on radio this switch can be your throtle hold, so when its engaged, so is the RevGlow.

So I'm assuming it's NOT compatible with the ATG v3 and prob only compatible with model avionics governors?
Which means I have to use it as a stand alone???
