Jeff Green was a great guy to deal with. Hope it gets going. They were good flying long lasting heli's.
There is a ARF (factory built) NIB Shuttle with a Enya 35 on RCGroups. I think it was $250.

Using a BeastX, how do you ensure your swash is exactly level at full pos. and full neg. collective, besides at mid-stick?

Yes we are running strong. In our 4th year. It’s a bit of a rebuild after all of the churn prior to 2014 but those into HIROBO are seeing things still exist. Whether biughtbfrom is or RC Japan all benefits the HIROBO brand overall. FYI all our pricing is set to match overseas sellers when all aspects are considered and as many times as possible. We will look at price matching if asked. If not possible, we will find a solution. Hope that answers the question. We have been getting kits and parts smoothly since we started. Some items have dropped off for various reasons and more will be posted to our site shortly.

Thanks!

Jeff Green

Vbar has the option for adjusting the swash but allot of FBL units don't.

Msh and ikon don't have it or need it I don't think sk-540 does either.

Does anyone know if you can put a 50 engine in a shuttle 30 ?

Is there going to be support for flybars ?

I know that....

And, among other reasons, that's why I use them....

Was just responding to the guy that was implying that they weren't as good as the VStabi FBLs....

We already have support for Shuttle flybar heads back to Z series.

50 used to be too much power for Shuttle. Hard to harness power. Head is really meant for 550 blade use so beefing that up would lead to a Sceadu SDX. The HIROBO electric conversion or TMRF version may be the answer for you if electric is ok.

Was running 570's with a hyper 50 and the raven fuel tank.
I am just looking for long sport flying run Times like I used to have.

That or convert my 600N LE back to flybar and try 570's already knowing it be heavy

This post has cost me money. I ran into a new never finished Shuttle ZXX. It has a Enya 35 never started and a JR 783 radio nib.
It was assembled but the radio was never installed.
I guess I am starting my classic collection. Never thought that I would be going backwards. I only had one Shuttle back in the day. So this will be getting reacquainted.
I had a lot of Kalt's 28's,30's, Enforcer's and then Raptor's.
This will be interesting.

What a great machine... I still have mine but in a disguise (Fuselage) now. I have no idea now how old it is (That's how old it is!!) It had OS32 then I converted it to electric The blue one in my gallery. I added a small TSK head so I could run heavier wide chord blades at a slower rpm and were fixed with 4mm bolts (rather than the shuttle 3mm) The Blades I used were 60 size cut down to 550mm. I later moved over to 550mm asymmetric Spin blades on it and it flies beautifully on a 1200 rpm head speed. These spin things have so much lift!!

Yeah, and I would say it went way off topic very nicely....love it

Pretty much done w. the flybar/nitro, but man, these posts are flowing
back the memories....and getting in my head!!

Shuttle and the Ergo series was my most memorable helis. To go back in
time.......hmmmmm?

If I dare go back on topic for a sec, I am here daily also, just much
more of a reader than a poster anymore. Doesn't change how I feel about
RR, or the amount I would miss it IF........

You did good Paul!

This has become quite an enjoyable thread.

I’ve been flying my Freya a lot and quite ironically the SSZ-IV head has been driving me nuts with a persistent transient wobble. That said, my Vibe E8 is so well behaved and flawless that it gets kinda boring!

My first electric helicopter was a Mikado Logo 500-3d with flybar. I loved that thing so much. It had a Hacker A40-10L Electric Turbine running on 5s with the super quiet 0.5 or 0.7 gears (can’t remember off the top of my head) and gave 12 minute flights. I really loved it until I converted it to FBL. I put a BeastX in it with Savox servos, mixed with a complete lack of awareness about FBL systems. I shouldn’t have messed with it and I really miss that helicopter.

I’ve had plenty of very successful FBL machines now (and still do) but really love a good flybar rotor system. It just comes down to flying what you like and not being subconsciously bullied by marketing and perceived peer pressure.

I’m thinking my next project may be a Kavan Lockheed 286 or Bell 206, not sure.

to answer the main question, gone to lunch. To answer the main question in effect, out to lunch. The only one's interested in helis are the one's most exposed to the format due to movies and lack of the idiot quad ever being in existence otherwise in comparison.
Does anyone know if you can put a 50 engine in a shuttle 30 ?
if it fits the motor mount and everything else matches the os32 why not, because partly the components of the Shuttle were not built for the extra hp of the 55, 8mm main shaft, 3mm grip bolts, 5mm feathering shaft, owb, things of that nature, you want to look at a Thunder Tiger Raptor or trex600 before going 55 in the shuttle but it won't hurt right away to go for it, just later. Also depends on what your going to do with the heli. It'll also deplete fuel quicker. I think a 42(?) was the highest the machine was suited for without the motor tearing the heli apart sooner than later. I don't think they even knew what 3d was when they made it back in 86 (?) to 91, I'm taking a guess at the specific years, I know you know what I mean though so don't expect it to be a 2018 model after a few upgrades (been there done that).

You know I have recently noticed something about myself when it comes to this hobby. I have almost no interest in new models or brands. I have a really strong interest in existing and particularly older designs, not really old more 2000-2010, the most exiting era for me.

I know what it means for the future...
I get the same feeling. I still miss my first one. Hirobo Sceadu 50 Evo, with the most beautiful OS 50 motor, with the blue on it. She blew apart one day, when a wood blade disentegrated.
