agreed EE...the interfaces stink...not to mention combining generations of radios, FBLs etc.

I do not care if Curtis Youngblood told me to join the 21st century, FBL units can do some things better and some things are gone...and they were fun....

....theres a vid in my gallery of a flybarred Logo 600 being skid-slid across the ground at about 30mph in an auto....I'm a normal dude, just been flying awhile, I did stuff like that and blade stops all the time with flybar helis, never any weirdness from the heli about it.

I don't trust my FBLs with that. Anyways, as far as where everyone has gone, cost is a big issue, what you guys pay for a 500 now is what I was paying for a 700 only a decade ago.

Inverted funny you mention the Hirobos, I go to Japan a lot now and thought about buying them but I have been told they stopped making them

I would be in the market for something like the SDX50 again as long as it was new and I could get parts for awhile, that was a very nice flyer

Speaking of flybars - I really, really, really, really do NOT miss assembling all the damn links associated with a flybar'd heli and push-pull link setup from the servo's. My poor thumbs and fingers!! I'd have to let my fingers heal for a week before I could go fly the damn thing. LOL!

Hobbies are meant to be interesting, challenging a time consuming
Hobby...an activity done regurarly in ones leisure time for pleasure.

Be it tinkering, programming, flying, helping others in person or in a forum. Heck, even solving the worlds problems one opinion at a time in the politics section (snicker)

Bottom Line
"Your" activity, "your" time, "your" pleasure.

~~Enjoying the hobby one flight at a time~~

You know I have recently noticed something about myself when it comes to this hobby. I have almost no interest in new models or brands. I have a really strong interest in existing and particularly older designs, not really old more 2000-2010, the most exiting era for me.
That holds true for me too..

Its all earth!

Not only is Hirobo still being made, but you folks realize there is a Hirobo store here too right. https://hirobofanusa.com/
I don't know who keeps saying they aren't being made again, but clearly it's a lie by someone who is mad at them or just doesn't know.

I just checked out that site. Very nice and a great selection. I like how the kit price includes shipping to your door it says. Contemplating a Shuttle...

Now I'm contemplating getting a shuttle now. The parts costs seem decent and I have a 37 lying around here somewhere. and it would make use of all the old antiquated electronics... like my super old Curtis Solid G and ATG.

spending time, paying attention

I sold all of my gy401/9254 combos last season when I switched everything over to flybarless. I cant believe I'm actually browsing the classifieds for one of these now

Still checking in now & again. Bear in mind that regulars probably won't be available every day as most have read the current forum's .
But too add my 2 cents to the side-bar debate. I still have all of my flybar heli "raptor 30, Fury extreme vibe 50, Trex 450sa,se and prov1.
And I have a trex 550e v1, Mikado 550se 2016 & various blades including the 300x, and for most the dreaded 130x my favorite.
And I've gotta say Flybar is less complicated to setup & was less expensive
The v-bar Neo left a lot to be desired upon initial startup & setup, the beast x in the blade heli's work flawlessly & now I'm working on a ikon setup & we'll see. Also the trex 450 is skittish with carbon blades whereas with the fiber blades it's stable.
From my observation flybarless is obviously the future but at a cost esc's, servos

the beast x in the blade heli's
Compared to Neos and VBars?

Using a BeastX, how do you ensure your swash is exactly level at full pos. and full neg. collective, besides at mid-stick?

Or perhaps the RT vibration analyzer?

Among other features not present using the BeastX.....

Logo 600SXs, 800XX, TDR IIs

Just looked, not only are they here, but it says the legendary Jeff Green is there. He was amazing back at MRC, and question I had with my Sceadu and he was on top of it.

That settles it. I’m now in the market for another Sceadu Evo 50.
