LOL...chill out.

You're a Canadian. While this means nothing to you, it means quite a bit to USA RC aircraft flying....and the USA hobbyists that partake in RC.

You need to understand that.....
Oh, I understand.....and I'm chilled....It's winter here in Canada eh! -30C with windchill at the start of this week! Looks like we have some plus temps for this weekend though.

Transport Canada watches what is happening south of the border. So what happens in the US will likely shape legislation here over time as well. So far, Transport Canada and MAAC (our AMA) seem to be working together a little better than how things are going in the USA so far. Time will tell.

Puppies? Their cute and all. More of a cat person myself.

I was always a cat person but I have now added a Greyhound to the fleet. Greyhounds are kinda half horse half cat.

I would suggest those who want to vigorously discuss AMA/FAA issues may want to start their own separate post as so far it is damaging the vibe...

In another post on this forum Gorhambirds is rebuilding an older model.
Does anybody have links to some manuals from this period.
Someday maybe I'll have access to a machine shop again. Why is is it as you get older you get more interested in the past?

Reliving the past due to happiness and your youth. I catch myself doing this a lot! I almost purchased a GSXR 1000 sportbike. I had so much fun with my youth. Fast bikes, fast women, and the long list of fun things to do. Now, I try to avoid people and fly helicopters. I do not like getting older.

No problem !! There seems to be a lot of folks out there that have no clue as to what Google is used for so perhaps it may help them out in the future ....

Just spent the last two weeks trying to revive/renew the Nimh packs
on the old Helimax Axe CP, that a friend gave me to fix up.
I did a discharge to 1v per cell in each pack, and they are somewhat better;at least it's enough power for some short hovers.
I think I need to increase the pitch on the blades, but the links to adjust
pitch are at their limits.
Plus, I think the trims aren't working on the radio.
Adjust trim, and thereis no movement
at all on the servo, that I can see.

For me, one challenge is not having to buy anything, but
using it as it is.

It is a pain in the butt to fly.
Did finally get a short hover yesterday, after weeks of messing
with adjustments, and the battery revival.

Kind of on the fence getting back completely with the helis.
I'm really happy with the Taranis.
So far just using it on the sim, but still having a lot of fun.
At least the crashes don't cost anything.
Can't afford to get what I want, financial situation is bad right now,
due to a bathroom remodel project that has drained us of $$$$.

If I could afford it, I would get a Sceadu with the Hyper 50 motor.
Of all the helis I had, I miss the Sceadu the most.

I have some pictures in my gallery. Had to delete some personal family images for personal safety issues when I did a career change. Also had to change my RR handle, so I know a lot of you guys from here, but you might not recognize me because of the handle change. I lost a lot of my footage and pictures due to a computer crash, so what's on RR is mostly what I have left of heli pictures. Aerials are gone. I got lax in backing up stuff.

I do not think I would spend much if any time with old NiMH packs. I would get new packs. It just is not worth loosing any heli over known problems. If money is issue, wait until budget allows.
