Anyone see this? I wonder what Transport Canada will do about this? There is already a statement out but the question is what sort of punitive measures will be taken.

Doesn't really sound like they are as worried about it as US authorities are....

More fake news
They use a picture of larger drone to up play the event . They don't have evidence or are willing to show any.
Really getting tired of walking through BS

In 2002 planes could take down buildings now drones are taking down planes what's next?

could you elaborate on this statement, I would like to know were your thoughts were going with it, I mean considering that if one plane was crashed do to a drone strike it would be one to many crashes

This is absolute BS, there should be jail time for these idiots flying drones near airports. I fly corporate jets and knew it was just a matter of time before it would happen.

To hover is divine, the alternative is rather PLANE.

Ya that was a reference to 911 when planes were built stronger.
Is there any pictures of the damage to the airplane ? I couldn't find any.
Remember the drone that hit a helicopter a short while ago there were plenty of pictures.

Come on....those plane were shredded upon impact....pieces littered the ground below.....just because the media didn't show it, doesn't mean a conspiracy.

There were 100's of 1000's of tons of building weight above where the planes hit....and when the fires un-tempered the steel, the collapse occurred....

Anyway, we'll see what the Canadian authorities do.

Again, people who fly any kind of RC aircraft near airports are reckless at best, unless they have special dispensation to do so.

These are the type of incidents that are bringing our hobby under scrutiny.

It's a conspiracy I tell ya

I say Amazon is pushing it's agenda for drone delivery.
The current delivery system is being overwhelmed by online shopping.
The people with the most money write the laws or pay for it .

As for 911 building 7 was the give away

Amazon is lobbying Congress to exclude RC hobbyists.

It's Amazon's airspace, after all.

Wow, even I think this is a little paranoid to think Amazon owns the airspace. If we'd all just keep our arses below 400ft and away from airports no one would even be paying attention to us. But, of course, collectively we just can't seem to do that.

It was a joke, Marty....

And it's below 400 ft. within 3 miles of an airport, BTW.

Not under 400 ft. everywhere.

Otherwise, pattern contests would be outlawed....

Our flying field is below an airport that's on top of a hill overlooking us so it's below 400ft for us all the time. That's my fault for thinking in those terms.

Was just stating the wording of the AMA Safety Code.

And there's a whole lot of misconception about what the Safety Code actually says.

So I wanted to be precise....
