Found this on Facebook and obtained.

I flew one back in 2005 as a favour for a new flyer in our club, I remember it being a handful with a mind of its own..

So I am looking forward to setting this up, it does feel ancient with gears notchy compared to todays smooth running gear systems.. so I guess some adjustment are needed.

I know they recommended upgrading the blades to carbon as the stock woodies weren't very good and prone to boom strike.

Never got around to flying an Eco 7. I am still loving my Eco 8 running on Nimh batteries. Would love to see a video of how much better you fly the Eco 7 now.

Hi Folks

I picked up some Lypos from an old flyer I used to fly with, they are

OVERLANDER SPORT 2200MA 3S 25C BATTERIES

Will these be ok for flying for 3-5mins in the Eco 7 ?

Matt it all depends on the voltage of the ECO 8 not the amps
if the eco 8 is a 12 volt system then your 3s lipo pack will be ok to use

Thanks Steph,
As BeltFedBrowning mentioned I am flying the Eco 7, I looked through all the old forums posts on this model back to 2008, I guess Lypos were still in infancy then but the common post was that most flyers dumped the NIMH pack and swapped for 3cell 3000-3300 lypo, I managed to see a set of 4 on BMFA site OVERLANDER SPORT 2200MA 3S 25C BATTERIES at £7.00 each.

hence why I asked if the lower capacity would be ok..

thanks for info folks.
