Hi Guys
I came across these mechanics on Ebay that come from Hong Kong, the application for these mechanics makes it good for scale.

It says these mechanics are ideal for an independent tail motor system,
I get the idea and get the benefit, but I haven't seen any kind of independent tail rotor motor system.

I wonder how the tail servo and push rod would fit without flexing as there is no boom to support it..

Just wondered what some of the scalers think.. I would fancy putting one in a 700 Jetranger fuse.

These mechs have been around for a few years. They require that you use a separate motor to run the tail drive, or you would have to modify them to run a tail drive.

All helis and planes have an expiration date stamped on them...you only find it after you crash!!

That came from TF-Model, using direct tail drive. They also have tail drive mount with brushless motor running on 3 or 4S. I have seem EC145 and Gazelle using the combos.

Just came across those on ebay tonight too, indeed they are from TF Model.
Would be interested to see any builds done with them.

Couple of years ago I started out to build A Tiger UHT using TF models mech and independent tail motor drive, I never completed the build as it wasn't that easy as I thought to get it work, but this was me, others got it to work flawless, below is a picture on complete tailrotor drive running on 3-4s lipo.

Cheers

I put together a Raptor 90 using this setup for a scale project
Didn’t proceed past the trial as the tail authority on left hand turns decayed significantly as the increased pitch slowed down the tail speed
I think it’s a great concept but might need smaller more powerful motor

This was done in 2011 on 800 size Huey. Can be done.

Would be great for a blackhawk/seahawk or CH-53 with the angled tail rotor.
