Quick question about setting up the CGY750 for a scale application. I've read some previous threads and I think I understand but want to confirm.

Getting ready to setup V2.0 for the first time in a scale bird. With the servos centered and links at 90deg, at center stick I have 5deg of pitch mechanically. See pic below......

I must move the collective stick down to about 25% position to see zero degrees of pitch. See below pic this is where the stick is at to see zero degrees of pitch....

So my question is this; while in the SWASH MENU, when I get the part to set PIT. LOW, I move the collective stick to the bottom of the travel (which in my case is 1.5degrees of positive pitch on the blades), hit the "+" key. Then move to PIT.Zero, I move the collective stick to around 25% of travel (like in the above picture), which is where I see zero degrees on the blades, hit the "+" key, then move the to PIT.High, I move the collective stick to max travel (which in my case is 10degrees of pitch on the blades and hit the "+" key.

Is this the correct method?

Would an alternative method be to setup mechanically with zero degrees at mid stick (just like any 3D pod and boom), go through the Pit.Low - .Zero - .High setup as normally and then "offset" the pitch curve to get 5 degrees (or whatever you are looking for) at mid stick like the picture below...

I have the same question.

I set it up with -10/+10 with 0 at mid stick, then use the pitch curve for -6 low, 0 at 25%, +6 at mid stick, and +10 high. Then did the calibration. I don't know if this is correct for using the 750 for scale but I hope one of the experts would chime in.

Question, when you check your aeliron gyro could you see the swash move? I looked and looked but could not tell if the correction was correct. The swash moved very little if at all when I tilted the helicopter left or right. BTW when you view the set-up video his swash moves very little as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

Question, when you check your aeliron gyro could you see the swash move? I looked and looked but could not tell if the correction was correct. The swash moved very little if at all when I tilted the helicopter left or right.
Yes it moves. Are you checking for correct movement while in the SWASH menu? Temporarily cranking the gains up to 100 can help with seeing the correction movement.

Tx garyl. I have read that thread many times in preparation to setting up the new scale machine. My Cobra I show in that thread is running V1.4 on a standard symmetrical pitch curve. I think I understand Ben's and Nick's instructions but I am a creature of visual reference and want to confirm what I believe to be the correct setup with my pics. I am wanting to update the Cobra to V2.0 and I am getting ready to maiden a new scale bird also setup on V2.0 and want to play around with a mechanically or electronically offset pitch curve (I've never flown an offset curve before) and before I screw something up I thought it best to ask the question.
