Nice work Kevin,
I like the direct drive method rather than a belt drive.. Have you flown it yet ?

******Give you some pictures for reference.

and the out-put shaft, is it OS-90 spec?
******No, it is bigger.

Who made the very nice looking tanks, what a very nice job.
******Show you a picture. He is the owner~ Mr. Chang. He is a quite famous racing car modifications expert. He makes those tanks by himself.

turbine mounts

Thanks Kevin for the pictures of the mounts on the engine. Do you get that when you buy the turbine or do you need to get them made to suit the frame? I would replace my Wren 44 in my Trex 700-800.

Hi, rcglo1

You are more than welcome.

I designed and made the engine mount + frame by myself.

This is MD conversion kit.

Align is another design. Totally different.

What do you need? Why do you want to replace yours?

Sorry, it might be a misunderstanding at my reading.

Would you like to replace Wren44 (the engine) or what else?

turbine replacement

Thanks Kevin, the reason was as far as I can see, service or repairs to the Wren 44 as it clock's up more hours and to get it serviced is very hard. So I was looking at a replacement turbine or a hole new helicopter with a turbine as I would like to do a second model. Service is a big thing and other brand's are better as far as get service instead of sending it around the world.

Service is everything. I have the wren since 2014. Never had a problem in contacting wren. Well that changed. Emailed then last week no response (that never happened before). Phones doesnt exists.

If was today i would buy the kingtech for sure. Or the jaka.

The Jetcat still goes back to Germany for service from Australia. Also the SPH5 is bigger than the Wren so you'd want to be spinning 800mm blades.

WREN TURBINE,S

Hi Calil, if you look down the list in this section, (WREN TURBINE;S 19/06/2017) you will see all the trouble I had with getting in contact with Wren in the U.K. welcome to the club! To Mick in Australia, I run 780mm blades on my Trex 700-800 machine. You can see this on my you-tube site, (rcglo1) and I asked Kevin for information on his turbine to see how it mounts into the frame and would it fit into the Trex frame? Has to be better than no support or service!

You have the Australian Jetcat dealer in VIC so no problem with support. I had to get mine sent back to Germany after a crash and it was pretty reasonable for time and price.

I have a SPH5 in a 1.8m airframe if you want to have a look at one in the flesh. I'll be back in VIC in another 3 weeks.

Hi, rcglo1:

A new 2nd model with a new engine might be a good decision.

By the way, if kingtech k-45-tp-H is your next choice, please do not worry any bit.

In addition to kingtech's service, if you need anything further, I can guarantee that I can get in touch with KingTech's boss any time~ even 24-7~ for you. Hahaha..........

Regarding Wren, I can feel ur pain. I have been through all of those conditions with troubles. However, Mike Murphy is a very nice person.

Everything always has a brighter side. Just let go and move on~

Let bygones be bygones. ..@.@..

I am also preparing for my 5th turbine heli: K45-TP-Heli + MD-8 triple blades.

I am enjoying my hobby with passion~

Turbine bike

I forgot to mention in the earlier post.

Regarding the Mr. Chang who has the 2nd Jetcat spt-h5 with MD-8 triple blades in Taiwan, he modifies a motorcycle that I call~

Turbine Bike~ Hahaha..........

This guy is crazy~

He says the thrust is too much, very dangerous, too fast, can't stop~~~~~
