Managed to get some time with the Bolkow today.

"Joe" needs a place to sit and some instruments to look at.....

So grabbed some styrene and started making some seats and an instrument panel. First cardstock templates were made and then parts and pieces were cut......
20171209_125525 by Steve Smith, on Flickr

All assembled and ready for some primer....
20171216_113534 by Steve Smith, on Flickr

First coat of primer on and some imperfections filled and now ready for some paint. But I dont have any paint, DOH!!! So I will need to go shopping before I can finish them up. Still need to make some cushions for the seats. Everything will be held in place in the cockpit by magnets. Will document that once I get some paint LOL!

Well it's been a long time. Too long.

Finished up the fun scale instrument panel. No, it is not even close to a true scale BO-105 instrument panel, but it looks like an instrument panel, and being fun scale I am OK with it.

After a quick coat of primer and some minor touch ups here and there, based it in flat black.....

Then added color and switches and dials OH MY!!.....

And finished the seats. Forgot to take progress pics while working on these (SORRY - I'm a bit rusty!). Frames are made from various bits of styrene. Seat cushions are balsa blocks sanded to shape. Sealed them with thin CA. Then flocked them to give them a velour/suede/sheepskin kinda look. Make no mind of the seat cushion color, it will make sense when the fuse gets painted (trust me!)...

Just gotta wait it out now and hope the warmer weather arrives soon so we can paint the fuse!!
